From October 13th, VinaPhone customers will be able to experience super-fast 5G for free in areas with 5G coverage. VinaPhone will soon have nationwide 5G coverage.
On the afternoon of October 10th, VinaPhone announced that, starting October 13th, VinaPhone customers will be able to experience super-fast 5G speeds for free in areas with 5G coverage. Currently, many provinces and cities nationwide have VinaPhone 5G coverage, and VinaPhone will soon have nationwide 5G coverage.
Previously, in March 2024, Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group ( VNPT ) successfully won the auction for the C2 frequency band (3700MHz - 3800MHz) for 5G. Winning the C2 frequency band auction is very significant, allowing VNPT to have more network equipment options, the most reasonable 5G network deployment costs, and fulfilling its strategy of deploying the fastest 5G network in Vietnam, providing customers with super-fast and multi-application 5G experiences.
After receiving official licensing, VNPT Group promptly deployed infrastructure and VinaPhone 5G base stations nationwide. Currently, many provinces and cities across the country have VinaPhone 5G coverage. According to the plan, by the end of 2024, VNPT will complete the installation of over 3,000 VinaPhone 5G base stations to ensure strong, stable, and continuous coverage, especially in urban areas and major economic centers nationwide.
VinaPhone 5G not only offers access speeds up to 10 times faster than 4G but also minimizes latency, allowing users to enjoy smooth video streaming, lag-free online gaming, and high-performance use of smart applications.
VinaPhone 5G also opens up opportunities to bring many automation, automatic monitoring/control, and smart management applications to businesses, factories, seaports, healthcare applications, distance education, and more in Vietnam.
Specifically, from October 13th to November 15th, VinaPhone customers who already own a 5G phone will be able to participate in a free trial of super-fast 5G (50GB of data, valid for 30 days). When operating in areas with 5G coverage, VinaPhone subscribers will receive a notification message inviting them to try the free service. In addition, to celebrate VinaPhone 5G, from now until the end of November 2024, VinaPhone will organize a series of music events called “Sound Freedom by VinaPhone” in the provinces of Thanh Hoa, Binh Duong, Gia Lai, Kien Giang, Can Tho, and Ca Mau.
At this music event series, customers and young people will not only immerse themselves in a vibrant music party but also experience VinaPhone's super-fast 5G firsthand. The VinaPhone 5G launch event series will also be broadcast live on digital platforms, the MyTV television system, and several local television channels.
Over the past period, with the desire to enhance customer experience, VNPT Group has continuously invested in improving service quality and optimizing the VinaPhone mobile network system. According to the results of the i-Speed internet access speed measurement system by the Vietnam Internet Center (VNNIC) in August and September 2024, VinaPhone consistently leads in internet speed and is the mobile network with the fastest internet speed in Vietnam.
