The Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival program is an annual tourism promotion activity, showcasing the image of the capital city as a "Safe - Friendly - Quality - Attractive" destination with the message "Hanoi - Come to Love" to attract tourists to Hanoi. This is a practical activity in response to the National Tourism Year 2025 "Hue - Ancient Capital, New Opportunities"; and is one of a series of events organized by Hanoi to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country (April 30, 1975 / April 30, 2025).

The opening ceremony was a two-part artistic program: "Hanoi: A Place to Love" and "Hanoi Tourism - A World Heritage Destination," conveying "heritage stories" from the past and present, delving into the harmony and convergence between Hanoi's cultural and historical currents and contemporary trends. This was a spectacular and impressive artistic program featuring laser light shows combined with folk and contemporary music , shadow puppetry, and more, offering a unique visual experience for the audience.
The Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2025 runs until April 13th with numerous activities. The festival showcases unique features in each exhibition space, promoting and introducing tourism products from heritage destinations and craft villages, such as: promoting, demonstrating, and introducing intangible cultural heritage, traditional culture, and tourism resources of districts and communes in the city; introducing characteristic Hanoi cuisine; art photography exhibitions; performances and interactions with artisans; digital transformation in tourism and virtual reality… Notably, the festival features the introduction of exquisite products and unique handicraft techniques, and honors two craft villages recognized as members of the World Creative Cities Network: Bat Trang pottery village (Gia Lam district) and Van Phuc silk village (Ha Dong district); expanding the network for connecting and developing inter-regional tourism with localities nationwide.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Dang Huong Giang, Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, expressed: “Following the success of previous Hanoi Tourism Gift Festivals, this year's program, themed “Hanoi Tourism - A World Heritage Destination,” honors the cultural heritage values of the capital city. Through tourism gifts, we tell the story of these heritage values, encouraging tourists to experience and cherish memories, thereby spreading love for Hanoi to friends both domestically and internationally.”
