Speaking at the opening of the training course, General Secretary Duong Nghiep Khoi emphasized: "To have good results in matches, good preparation in many aspects is needed."
Mr. Duong Nghiep Khoi spoke at the opening ceremony of the training program for supervisors and referees of national professional football tournaments in the Northern region.
On behalf of VFF, General Secretary Duong Nghiep Khoi commended all supervisors and referees for completing their tasks in the 2023 season.
With the utmost efforts and strict assignment of the Referee Board, the referees and supervisors have done a good job in most of the matches.
At V-League 2023, the tournament organizing committee applied VAR to 5 matches, promptly trained 18 referees, supervised the participation in VAR operation classes and was recognized by FIFA.
The referees tried their best to complete their tasks despite difficult matches.
The role of the fourth referee and the referee team operating in the VAR room was also emphasized by General Secretary Duong Nghiep Khoi.
VFF General Secretary Duong Nghiep Khoi shared that VFF leaders always monitor and give timely instructions to the tournament's Organizing Committee to resolve arising issues.
"The bright spot that I appreciate about the referees is that the whole team coordinates well with each other and completes the task together. The results of the matches last season truly reflect the strength of the teams," said VFF General Secretary Duong Nghiep Khoi.
According to the plan, the Northern region referee and supervisor training course will take place from October 9-13, in which the physical fitness test will take place on the morning of October 10 at Hang Day Stadium.
In addition, the training course focused on updating the new season's competition rules: offside rules, handball, penalties... as well as conducting tests.
