Mr. Duong Nghiep Khoi delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the training program for supervisors and referees of national professional football leagues in the Northern region.
On behalf of the VFF, General Secretary Duong Nghiep Khoi commended all supervisors and referees for successfully completing their duties in the 2023 season.
Thanks to the dedicated efforts and strict assignment of duties by the Referee Committee, the referees and supervisors performed their duties well in most matches.
In the 2023 V-League season, the organizers implemented VAR in 5 matches, promptly trained 18 referees and supervisors who participated in VAR operation training courses, and received FIFA recognition.
The referees have strived to fulfill their duties, even in difficult matches.
The role of the fourth official and the refereeing team operating in the VAR room was also emphasized by General Secretary Duong Nghiep Khoi.
VFF General Secretary Duong Nghiep Khoi shared that VFF leaders always monitor and provide timely guidance to the tournament organizers to resolve any arising issues.
"The positive aspect I appreciate about the referees is that the entire team coordinated well and completed their tasks together. The results of the matches last season accurately reflected the strengths of the teams," said VFF General Secretary Duong Nghiep Khoi.
According to the plan, the training course for supervisors and referees in the Northern region will take place from October 9-13, with a physical fitness test on the morning of October 10 at Hang Day Stadium.
In addition, the training session focused on updating the rules of the new season: offside rule, handball, penalty, etc., as well as conducting tests.
