On the morning of October 9th, at the Song Van safe agricultural products store in Dong Thanh ward, Ninh Binh city, the Safe Agricultural Products Club (Provincial Farmers' Association) organized the Safe Agricultural Products Festival.
Attending the opening ceremony of the Festival were representatives from the Provincial Farmers' Association; the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; the Farmers' Associations of districts and cities; owners of safe agricultural product stores in the province; and producers of safe agricultural products.
The Safe Agricultural Products Club currently has 56 members. Over the past period, the club members have actively expanded their businesses and production, helping many workers find stable employment; and ensuring that safe agricultural product production, processing, and trading establishments have stable outlets and operate effectively.
The Safe Agricultural Products Club has been at the forefront of the Ninh Binh farmers' movement to say no to plastic bags and single-use plastic items.
To date, 23 stores in the province have displayed signs indicating that they are restricting the use of plastic bags and single-use plastic items.
The festival featured over 50 booths with participation from units of the Farmers' Association at all levels in Ninh Binh province and some neighboring provinces, businesses, cooperatives, farmer-led startup models, and business households from within and outside the province.
The event was organized to introduce, promote, and strengthen the connection for the consumption of safe agricultural products.
This will attract attention and raise public awareness of the role of the Farmers' Association in the socio-economic development of the locality.

The festival also serves as a platform to honor, promote, introduce, and sell the distinctive and representative products of local farmers involved in production, processing, and trading, contributing to increasing the value of these products.
At the festival, many agricultural products produced and processed using farmer-startup models were introduced and sold at the booths.
The festival is an opportunity for producers, safe agricultural product stores, and farmers in the province to find business partners and cooperate for mutual development.
During the event, the Safe Agricultural Products Club welcomed 11 new members.
Representatives of the Provincial Farmers' Association presented the second prize in the cooking competition organized by the Asian Farmers' Association to the winner.
