Speaking at the opening ceremony, Director of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Thi Ngoc Loan said that 2025 marks a major turning point in the country's administrative development process. In particular, Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc will merge into the new Dong Nai province. Many great opportunities have been opened up, promoting regional linkage development, uniting strength and reaching out to the sea.

After the merger, Dong Nai province will own a rich tropical forest ecosystem, notably Cat Tien National Park - one of the eight world biosphere reserves in Vietnam and Bu Gia Map National Park, known as the "green lung" with an area of over 25,000 hectares, contributing to the development of sustainable and international ecotourism in the future.

According to the Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, this year’s VHDLAT Week with the theme “Dong Nai Tourism – Returning to the land of sweet fruits” will take place from June 20 to 22 with many rich and attractive activities. Visitors will be introduced to the model of Tran Bien Temple of Literature made from fresh fruits; tourism space, culture, historical relics and traditional handicraft products of Dong Nai.
At VHDLAT Week, there is also a space to display and introduce OCOP products, cuisine, specialties, and traditional cakes from provinces and cities such as Tay Ninh, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Tien Giang, Long An, An Giang, Hai Duong, Binh Thuan, etc.
