Speaking at the opening ceremony, Director of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Thi Ngoc Loan said that 2025 marks a major turning point in the country's administrative development process. Specifically, Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc will merge to form the new Dong Nai province. Many great opportunities have opened up, promoting regional development, consolidating strengths, and reaching out to the wider world.

Following the merger, the new Dong Nai province possesses a rich tropical forest ecosystem, notably Cat Tien National Park - one of the eight world biosphere reserves in Vietnam - and Bu Gia Map National Park, dubbed the "green lung," covering over 25,000 hectares, contributing to the development of sustainable ecotourism and its potential for international recognition in the future.

According to the Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Nai province, this year's Dong Nai Cultural and Tourism Week, themed "Dong Nai Tourism - Returning to the Land of Sweet Fruits," will take place from June 20 to 22 with many rich and attractive activities. Visitors will be introduced to a model of the Tran Bien Temple of Literature made from fresh fruit; tourism spaces, cultural sites, historical relics, and traditional handicrafts of Dong Nai.
