
On the morning of February 13th (the 16th day of the first lunar month), at the Con Son camping experience area, the Organizing Committee of the Con Son - Kiet Bac Spring Festival inaugurated the 2025 Culture, Tourism and Trade Promotion Week.

Attending the opening ceremony were Ms. Trinh Thi Thuy, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; representatives of leaders from ministries, departments, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Association, and a number of provinces and cities: Hai Phong City, Hung Yen, Ha Nam, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang ...

Also attending were: Comrade Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Comrade Le Ngoc Chau, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee…
International guests included: Mr. Bun Sone Phet La Van, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council of Vientiane (Laos); Mr. Kim Hyun Soo, First Deputy Mayor of Suwon City (South Korea); and Mr. Jonathan Wallace Baker, Head of UNESCO Representative Office in Vietnam.

The lively and energetic lion dance performance opened the event as a wish for health, peace, prosperity, bountiful harvests, and successful business ventures from the organizers to the delegates, visitors from all over, and the people attending the opening ceremony.
The Culture, Tourism and Trade Promotion Week at the Con Son - Kiet Bac Spring Festival 2025 will take place over four days, from February 13th to 16th (corresponding to the 16th to 19th day of the first lunar month).

According to the organizers, this year's Culture, Tourism and Trade Promotion Week features 42 booths. Of these, 7 booths will promote and showcase the unique cuisine of Hai Duong and several other provinces and cities nationwide. The remaining booths will introduce typical products of businesses inside and outside the province, OCOP products, tourism, and traditional craft villages of Hai Duong province and other provinces in the Red River Delta region.



Here, visitors can experience activities such as pottery making on a potter's wheel, woodblock printing, and traditional folk games like pot smashing, all scheduled for visitors to observe and participate. There are also culinary demonstrations and traditional performing arts shows: Cheo opera, Chau Van singing, Ca Tru singing, etc.

The stalls and activities attracted a large number of locals and tourists. Ms. Nguyen Thi Giang (from Hung Yen) said she was particularly impressed with Hai Duong's specialties such as: mudworm patties, rice rolls, mung bean cakes… “Not only did I get to enjoy the culinary essence of Hai Duong, but I also got to experience typical products from many regions across the country,” Ms. Giang said.
The 2025 Culture, Tourism and Trade Promotion Week also features many attractive activities for locals and tourists to experience the unique culture of Hai Duong, such as: a fashion show of traditional Vietnamese ao dai with the theme "Eastern Region - Connecting and Spreading" taking place at 9:30 AM on February 14th; and an art program titled "The Songs of Workers and the Dances of Union Members" taking place at 9:30 AM on February 15th.
Throughout the Cultural Week, the organizers continuously broadcast promotional video clips showcasing the province's culture, tourism, OCOP products, and traditional craft villages on the stage's LED screens.
