On October 18, the Danang Center for Disease Control (CDC) sent an urgent dispatch to Danang Hospital and district medical centers to take measures to handle suspected cases of monkeypox.

Previously, according to a quick report from Da Nang Hospital, the hospital's Tropical Medicine Department discovered a suspected case of monkeypox (this person is in Lien Chieu District).

To proactively deploy response measures, CDC Da Nang requested Da Nang Hospital to temporarily isolate patients according to regulations and implement measures to prevent monkeypox infection at the hospital according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health .

CDC Da Nang also requested Da Nang Hospital to make a list of all staff and people in close contact with the suspected monkeypox case to advise and guide self-monitoring of health within 21 days from the last date of contact or until the patient has a negative test result.

For Lien Chieu District Medical Center, it is necessary to investigate further patient information, verify cases of close contact with the patient to advise, guide, and self-monitor health within 21 days from the last date of contact or until the patient has a negative test result.
