In the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup, the Vietnamese team had a resounding victory over Laos at Binh Duong Stadium in their opening match. In the next two matches against Nepal, coach Kim Sang-sik and his team will continue to play in Ho Chi Minh City, at Go Dau Stadium (formerly Binh Duong) and Thong Nhat Stadium (Ho Chi Minh City).
Meeting to review and evaluate preparations for the match between Vietnam and Nepal
To prepare for the matches of the Vietnam team in Group F of the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers, the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City held a meeting to review and evaluate the organization preparation work.
Attending and co-chairing the meeting were Mr. Cao Van Chong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Nguyen Van Phu - General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF). Also attending were leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation (HFF), Security, Health , Department of Foreign Affairs, Becamex Ho Chi Minh City Football Club Joint Stock Company; VFF General Secretariat and functional departments.

At the meeting held on September 25, representatives of VFF functional departments reported on issues related to the preparation for the event. Representatives of Security, Health, Stadium... of Ho Chi Minh City also presented related issues to coordinate and implement with VFF.
Mr. Cao Van Chong said that the local organizing committee will coordinate with the VFF to successfully organize two events, including the matches between Vietnam and Nepal and the 2026 AFC U17 Women's Championship qualifiers, contributing to affirming the prestige of Vietnamese football with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
After the meeting to deploy preparations, VFF leaders continued to meet with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City and Thong Nhat Stadium to prepare for the match on October 14 between Nepal and Vietnam (at 7:30 p.m.) at Thong Nhat Stadium (Ho Chi Minh City).

According to the plan, in early October 2025, coach Kim Sang-sik's team will gather and practice to prepare for two matches with Nepal. In the first leg, the Vietnamese team will host Nepal at 7:30 p.m. on October 9 at Go Dau Stadium and the rematch will take place at 7:30 p.m. on October 14 at Thong Nhat Stadium.
These two matches will be broadcast live on the digital platforms of the two units by VFF in collaboration with FPT Play. VFF will soon announce the ticket sales plan for the two matches to fans.
Right after the 2027 Asian Cup qualifying match, from October 13 to 17, Go Dau Stadium will host the 2026 Asian U17 Women's Qualifiers. VFF will also broadcast the matches live on VFF's digital platforms.
