With the aim of introducing, promoting and selling products of ethnic minorities and mountainous areas to consumers and tourists, in order to boost the consumption of products of ethnic minorities and mountainous areas, the Department of Industry and Trade of Khanh Hoa province organized a fair to display products of ethnic minorities and mountainous areas of the province at Yen Phi Park, Nha Trang city.

The market took place from July 14 to 17, with 12 booths, displaying a variety of typical products of ethnic minorities and mountainous areas in the province such as: durian, green-skinned grapefruit, mangosteen, pineapple, wild bamboo shoots, jackfruit, banana honey, etc.
The special feature of the market is that the products on display are all agricultural products grown, produced and processed by businesses, cooperatives and households operating in extremely disadvantaged communes (communes in region III) in ethnic minority and mountainous areas of Khanh Hoa province.
Over the days, the market has had positive signals, attention from people and tourists, especially products such as durian and products processed by ethnic minorities in the mountainous areas such as chicken, pork, etc.
Coming to the market with her husband to choose durian, Ms. Le Thi Mai (a resident of Nha Trang city) was very excited by the aroma of the seedless durians of the farmers in the mountainous region of Khanh Vinh, which were displayed here. “I have bought them for my family and children many times and everyone loves them. The durian of the people is sweet, fatty and very fragrant, with a thin skin and thick, beautiful yellow flesh. I am very happy because my province has many delicious and famous agricultural products,” Ms. Mai shared.

In addition to selling products directly, we have also posted product information on social networking sites, introducing them to customers so that everyone can access them more easily.
“In Khanh Vinh district as well as other areas in the province, there are many high-quality agricultural products, so I hope there will be more markets like this to promote products to consumers, have more outlets, help people develop the economy and escape poverty,” Giang added.
Talking to Cong Thuong Newspaper , Mr. Huynh Tan Hai - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Khanh Hoa province said that this is the beginning of the agricultural harvest season of the mountainous ethnic minority areas of the province, so the products are very diverse and rich. Notable products include Khanh Vinh durian, green-skinned grapefruit, mangosteen, bamboo shoots, bananas, wild honey, etc. In addition, there are products such as cordyceps, lingzhi mushrooms, herbal shampoo, etc. of production facilities using labor from ethnic minorities and mountainous areas.
“In the coming time, the Department of Industry and Trade of Khanh Hoa province will carry out trade promotion activities, diversify activities to promote products from ethnic minority and mountainous areas to the market, in order to improve the lives of ethnic minority people, contributing to socio-economic development,” said Mr. Hai.
