(Haiphong.gov.vn) - Responding to the activities of the Peak Day of joining hands to build landscapes and protect the rural environment in 2024, on the afternoon of August 18, at the Cultural House of Hamlet 5, An Quy, Cong Hien Commune, Vinh Bao District, the Youth Union of Hai Phong Economic Zone coordinated with the Youth Union of Cong Hien Commune, Vinh Bao District and the Volunteer Student Club of Vietnam Maritime University to inaugurate the youth project "Lighting up the countryside roads".

The cultural house and stadium area of An Quy village 5 still does not have electricity to serve the people's daily activities. The village cultural house is a place where cultural and artistic activities, physical education and sports often take place, especially during the summer and holidays, where children and teenagers participate in activities.

Faced with that situation, the road was started by the Youth Union of Hai Phong Economic Zone on July 25-26, 2024 with the joint efforts of the Commune Youth Union as well as the Youth Union members of the Volunteer Student Club of Vietnam Maritime University, and was completed on July 27, 2024.

The power line surrounding the Cultural House and the stadium with 10 LED bulbs, 4 new electric poles were equipped; along with that, repairing, renovating and renewing old poles to ensure the best lighting. The total value of the line is nearly 15 million VND, of which the Youth Union of Hai Phong Economic Zone and the Volunteer Student Club of Vietnam Maritime University supported with an amount of 10 million VND. The remaining amount was socialized by the Cong Hien Commune Youth Union, as well as calling for contributions from the people in the village.

The youth project "Lighting up the countryside" will bring joy, excitement and benefits to the lives of people in village 5 An Quy in the future.
