On the morning of August 24th, the People's Committee of Me Linh District ( Hanoi City) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of technical infrastructure for the resettlement area in Van Khe commune, serving the relocation of households located within the red line boundary of the Ring Road 4 - Capital Region project section passing through Me Linh district.
Accordingly, the infrastructure construction project for the resettlement area in Van Khe commune covers an area of 7.74 hectares with a total investment of approximately 179.2 billion VND, serving the resettlement needs of 198 households in Khe Ngoai 2 village.

The Van Khe resettlement area is located in a prime location, adjacent to the Khe Ngoai 3 village cultural center, the local market, and kindergartens, primary schools, and secondary schools in Van Khe commune. The roads within the resettlement area are connected to the Tien Phong - Tu Lap road with a 15m cross-section and the left embankment road of the Red River with a 13m cross-section.
In addition to approximately 25,000 square meters of land for housing construction, the Van Khe resettlement area also allocates over 11,500 square meters for public spaces, parking lots, and green areas, creating a visually appealing landscape. The network of trees within the resettlement area is integrated with the street tree belts to form a continuous green space system. Walking paths, flower gardens, sports fields, etc., are organized as open parks to serve the recreational needs of residents.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Chairman of the People's Committee of Me Linh District, Hoang Anh Tuan, affirmed that the infrastructure construction project for the resettlement area in Van Khe commune will be invested in a modern, synchronized urban direction, with convenient transportation connections, full amenities, and ensuring better living conditions than the old place.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Me Linh District requested that district and commune agencies closely monitor and strengthen coordination in the project implementation; and that contractors ensure the technical, aesthetic, and quality standards of the construction. Specifically, the district aims to complete the land leveling, drainage system, and road construction before December 31, 2023, to hand over the land to the households. The remaining items, such as sidewalk construction, tree planting, and lighting systems, are expected to be completed by May 2024.

The Ring Road 4 - Capital Region project, the section passing through Me Linh district, has a length of 11.2km and requires the acquisition of 141.5 hectares of land. It traverses 5 communes and 12 villages, affecting more than 3,000 households. Of this, 6.96 hectares are residential land, affecting 438 households in 3 villages: Noi Dong (Dai Thinh commune), Khe Ngoai 2 (Van Khe commune), and Tan Chau (Chu Phan commune).
With the decisive involvement of the entire political system and the consensus, unity, and joint efforts of the people, Me Linh district has so far handed over 122.6 hectares, reaching 86.2% of the total area of the entire route.
