Located in B'Kăm village, Lạc Xuân commune (Đơn Dương district, Lâm Đồng province), just a few minutes' motorbike ride from Thạnh Mỹ town (Đơn Dương), you can immerse yourself in the crystal-clear water and forget the worries and stresses of everyday life.
According to village elder Ya Ba (Lac Xuan commune), all waterfalls create a roaring sound, but this particular waterfall, for reasons unknown, has an echoing sound that only sounds like a gentle murmur... hence it's called the "Crying Waterfall."
Unlike the majestic waterfalls characteristic of the Southern Central Highlands, the "Kieu Waterfall" is very gentle. Visitors can stroll along the waterfall's course or sit on rocks in the middle of the stream, enjoying a peaceful and relaxing feeling amidst the wild nature; and savor the local cuisine of the Central Highlands' indigenous people.
Grilled stream fish wrapped in forest leaves and served with stream chili peppers has a pungent, spicy flavor that tingles the tongue. Then, after a few sips of rice wine until you're tipsy, you'll truly appreciate the essence of Chu Ru cuisine . If you're lucky, you'll also get to enjoy bitter gourd soup cooked with buffalo hide – not a gourmet dish, but one taste you'll remember for a lifetime.
The waterfall is currently still an unorganized tourist destination.
