That was the emergency case of an outpatient and treatment of a critically ill newborn from Laos on July 15.
Specifically, on the morning of the same day, the hospital received a report of a premature baby weighing 1.9kg in Attapeu province (Laos), with respiratory failure and severe cyanosis, needing resuscitation support and being transferred to Vietnam for emergency treatment.
Immediately, the hospital's emergency team provided temporary first aid on the spot, and urgently moved to Bo Y international border gate to receive the child patient.
The child was admitted to the hospital in serious condition, receiving mechanical respiratory support, intravenous nutrition, antibiotics to treat infection, and neonatal intensive care.
After a period of intensive treatment, the patient's progress was good, his respiratory condition improved, and he continued to receive intensive care. According to the hospital, this was a special case of international nature, requiring a quick and accurate response.
The second incident was the emergency and treatment of a group of students whose school bus overturned in Chu Prong, Gia Lai. In this incident, one patient was seriously injured, with his right hand crushed, and was PNQ, a resident of Binh Giao commune (old). The patient suffered a severe right hand injury and was at high risk of necrosis.
However, the hospital tried to preserve the limb, performed 3 surgeries and limb reattachment and skin grafts. Up to now, the patient has recovered and preserved hand function.
