The program aims to promote trade, advertise and develop the dragon fruit industry, and boost the consumption of local agricultural products through digital platforms, as directed by the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee.

The "Dragon Fruit Livestream Feast" event was organized by the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lam Dong province and the Binh Thuan Dragon Fruit Association in collaboration with artist Thanh Thuy, with the participation of leaders of Lam Dong province and relevant units and localities.
According to Mr. Huynh Canh, Chairman of the Binh Thuan (Lam Dong) Dragon Fruit Association, this event is of great importance, aiming to introduce and promote the image of dragon fruit, enhance the brand value of Vietnamese agricultural products. At the same time, it connects producers, distributors, and e-commerce units, boosting product consumption through commercial livestreaming.
The program will include product demonstrations and experiences, as well as online interactive activities with consumers. It will also discuss solutions for the sustainable development of the dragon fruit industry and the expansion of domestic and international markets.

According to the plan, on August 19th, after the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee will livestream on TikTok Shop to introduce dragon fruit and other local agricultural products and specialties. That evening, a Facebook livestream will be held – "Connecting Stories and Selling Local Specialties".
According to the Binh Thuan Dragon Fruit Association, the province currently has approximately 25,800 hectares of dragon fruit, accounting for nearly 40% of the national total. Over 22,000 hectares are in stable production. Estimated yield is 520,000 tons, a 7% increase compared to the same period in 2024, thanks to favorable weather conditions and artificial lighting techniques.
In the first half of 2025, Lam Dong province's dragon fruit industry continued to affirm its leading position nationwide. With favorable climatic conditions and the efforts of farmers and businesses, both production volume and export value experienced significant growth.
In addition to maintaining its traditional market in China, the province is expanding into high-end markets such as the EU, the US, Japan, South Korea, and promising emerging markets like India and the Middle East.
Despite positive signs, the dragon fruit industry still faces numerous challenges. These include increasingly stringent quarantine and traceability requirements, rising transportation costs, and fierce competition from Thailand, Ecuador, and China itself.
This requires associations and businesses to constantly improve quality, diversify products, and build strong brands…
