Dien Bien Phu Cherry Blossom Festival 2025 has many attractive activities

(CLO) From January 11 to 12, 2025, at Flower Island, Pa Khoang commune, Dien Bien Phu city, the Cherry Blossom Festival - Dien Bien Phu will take place with a series of events imbued with the cultural identity of ethnic groups, promoting the beauty of the hospitable land of Dien Bien.

This is an opportunity for tourists to immerse themselves in the brilliant spring atmosphere of a Dien Bien that is rising on the tourist map.

The festival opens with an opening art program themed "Spring in Muong Village - Cherry Blossoms", promising unique cultural performances.

At the Flower Island area, more than 30 booths introducing OCOP products, culture, tourism and cuisine will be displayed, along with a space recreating the culture of three ethnic groups: Thai, Mong and Kho Mu.

Visitors can directly experience traditional crafts such as bamboo and rattan weaving, forging, and weaving – long-standing cultural values ​​of the highland people.

An unmissable highlight is the culinary competition “Fragrance of Dien Bien”, where visitors have the opportunity to enjoy and discover the unique flavors of the Northwest region.

In parallel, cultural and sports exchange activities such as pole pushing, tug of war, stilt walking and kayak racing will stir up the festival atmosphere, bringing a vibrant and colorful experience.

In 2018, the first cherry blossom event was held in Dien Bien to promote tourism and connect Vietnamese and Japanese cultures. By 2024, the event was upgraded to a major festival, affirming Dien Bien's position on the Vietnamese tourism map.

The Cherry Blossom Festival - Dien Bien Phu 2025 not only brings beautiful images of the land and people of Dien Bien, but also creates momentum to promote local economic and tourism development.

This will be an opportunity for domestic and foreign tourists to enjoy a spring full of flowers and leave unforgettable impressions of Dien Bien - a historical land full of vitality every spring.
