Ceremony to encourage students to strictly comply with traffic safety laws

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of September 16, in Dong Nai province, the Ministry of Education and Training , the National Traffic Safety Committee in coordination with Honda Vietnam and the Motor Vehicle Insurance Fund - Vietnam Insurance Association organized the "Launching ceremony for students to strictly comply with traffic safety laws, propagate road traffic safety laws and instruct on safe motorbike and scooter driving skills".

Attending the ceremony were Vice Chairman of the National Traffic Safety Committee Khuat Viet Hung; representatives of leaders of units under the Ministry of Education and Training ; leaders of the Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security and representatives of a number of central and local agencies.

Delegates attended the launching ceremony at Hai Phong city bridge.

The launching ceremony was held in person in Dong Nai province and connected online to 62 points of the Department of Education and Training nationwide with the participation of more than 20,000 students. In Hai Phong, delegates attended the launching ceremony at the online point of Tran Nguyen Han High School.

The launching ceremony aims to contribute to improving the effectiveness of propaganda, dissemination and education of traffic safety laws, raising awareness of compliance, skills in safe traffic participation and forming a culture of behavior when participating in traffic among students. Thereby, contributing to limiting and repelling violations of traffic safety laws; minimizing traffic accidents involving students.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Vice Chairman of the National Traffic Safety Committee Khuat Viet Hung highly appreciated the coordination between the Ministry of Education and Training with the National Traffic Safety Committee and the Traffic Safety Committees of localities in organizing propaganda and raising awareness of compliance with traffic safety laws for students at the beginning of the school year. Mr. Khuat Viet Hung emphasized that with the participation of the Ministry of Education and Training and the National Traffic Safety Committee together with all levels and sectors, especially the strict compliance with traffic safety laws of students nationwide will contribute to reducing traffic accidents in the coming time.

At the launching ceremony, representatives of the leaders of 5 Departments of Education and Training and 5 Universities in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southeast provinces signed a commitment with the Ministry of Education and Training and the National Traffic Safety Committee to strengthen the implementation of traffic safety education in the 2023-2024 school year.

On this occasion, the Motor Vehicle Insurance Fund - Vietnam Insurance Association presented 500 qualified helmets to students with the hope of increasing the rate of traffic participants wearing quality standard helmets, contributing to raising traffic awareness of people across the country.
