Schedule of Bao Ha Temple Festival, Long Khanh Temple Festival, Nghia Do Temple Festival

Within the framework of the Bao Ha Temple Festival, many activities and events will take place:

The opening ceremony will take place at 8 PM on August 4, 2024 (corresponding to the 1st day of the 7th lunar month) at the main hall of the Bao Ha Temple National Historical and Cultural Monument; the 3rd Bao Ha Temple Football Cup, Bao Ha Commune; the Bao Ha Commune Volleyball Tournament 2024 from August 14-16; and the Horse-Making Competition from 7:30 AM on August 15, 2024 at the grounds of the Bao Ha Temple National Historical and Cultural Monument.

The 2024 Trade Fair and Promotion of Local Agricultural and Forestry Products, featuring booths displaying and selling OCOP products, agricultural products, food , etc., will take place from August 16-20, 2024; the Prayer for Peace Ceremony and Lantern Release will begin at 7 PM on August 18, 2024 (15th day of the 7th lunar month) at the Bao Ha Temple National Historical and Cultural Monument; and the Feast for the Soldiers will be held from 1 PM to 3 PM on August 19, 2024 (16th day of the 7th lunar month) within the inner courtyard of the Bao Ha Temple National Historical and Cultural Monument.

The special art program celebrating the Bao Ha Temple Festival, themed “Bao Ha - Sacred Land,” will open at 8 PM on August 19, 2024 (July 16th of the lunar calendar) at the Festival grounds of the Bao Ha Temple National Historical and Cultural Monument; the traditional palanquin procession will begin at 6 AM on August 20, 2024 (July 17th of the lunar calendar) at the Co Temple Provincial Historical and Cultural Monument (Tan An commune, Van Ban district); and at the Bao Ha Temple National Historical and Cultural Monument, Bao Ha commune. The main ceremony includes welcoming performances, an epic reenactment, drumming to open the festival; the palanquin procession and delegates will move to the inner sanctuary of the monument to offer incense, starting at 8 AM on August 20, 2024 (July 17th of the lunar calendar) at the Festival grounds of the Bao Ha Temple National Historical and Cultural Monument. The incense offering ceremony will take place from 9:45 AM to 10:30 AM on August 20, 2024 (the 17th day of the 7th lunar month) at the Bao Ha Temple National Historical and Cultural Monument.

Traditional sports and folk games will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on August 20, 2024 (July 17th in the lunar calendar) at the Bảo Hà Temple National Historical and Cultural Relic site. The Long Khánh Temple Festival in Phúc Khánh commune in 2024 will organize activities according to traditional rituals; cultural, artistic, and sports activities, as well as folk games, from August 12-13, 2024 (July 9-10th in the lunar calendar).

The Nghia Do Temple Festival in 2024 will feature several activities: the 3rd "Nghia Do Green" Marathon on August 16, 2024; the Nghia Do Temple Festival will include traditional rituals, stalls showcasing local products, cultural and artistic activities, sports, folk games, a culinary competition, etc., taking place over two days, August 16-17, 2024 (July 13-14 in the lunar calendar).
