A series of businesses in Da Nang owe large sums of money in insurance payments.

The Da Nang City Social Insurance agency has just announced a list of 334 units that have been persistently late in paying social insurance (BHXH), health insurance (BHYT), and unemployment insurance (BHTN) contributions, amounting to large sums of money, in the city.

This list is as of August 31st. The company with the largest outstanding debt is Da Nang Automotive and Electrical Equipment Company (Hoa Khanh Industrial Park, Hoa Khanh Bac Ward, Lien Chieu District) with 13.6 billion VND.

Next is Branch II – Quang An I Industrial Joint Stock Company in Da Nang (Truong Sa Street, Khue My Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District) with 12.5 billion VND; and Song Da Mechanical and Installation Joint Stock Company – Branch 5 (Nguyen Van Cu Street, Lien Chieu District) with 10.9 billion VND.

Several other businesses also have large debts, including Saigon DAD Interior Decoration & Advertising Co., Ltd. (Ton That Dam Street, Thanh Khe District) owing 8.5 billion VND; Lilama 7 Joint Stock Company (Hoa Cuong Bac Ward, Hai Chau District) owing 7.1 billion VND; and KOKILI Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Hoa Khanh Industrial Park, Lien Chieu District) owing 1.6 billion VND.

An Phu Quy Joint Stock Company (Thanh Binh Ward, Hai Chau District) owes 1 billion VND; Raymond Vietnam Architectural Design Co., Ltd. (Bach Dang Street, Hai Chau District) owes 1.7 billion VND; VN Da Thanh Group Joint Stock Company (Thach Thang Ward, Hai Chau District) owes 1.8 billion VND.

According to the Da Nang City Social Insurance agency, the prolonged delay by businesses in paying social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance contributions, amounting to very large sums, has directly affected the rights of employees.

Previously, on August 20th, the Da Nang City People's Committee announced that it had issued documents regarding administrative penalties for violations in the fields of social insurance and health insurance in the city against Max Planning Vina Co., Ltd. (Hoa Tho Tay ward, Cam Le district); Y Duc International Hospital Joint Stock Company (Hoa Khanh Nam ward, Lien Chieu district); Tan Tay Lan Trading and Service Co., Ltd. (headquarters at 63 Ton That Dam, Xuan Ha ward, Thanh Khe district); and Kha Tam Co., Ltd. (Hoa Khanh Nam ward, Lien Chieu district).

The People's Committee of Da Nang City requires these businesses to pay the full amount of overdue mandatory social insurance and accident insurance contributions to the social insurance agency; and also to pay interest equal to twice the average investment interest rate of the social insurance fund in the preceding year, calculated on the amount and duration of the overdue payments.
