Quy Nhon City Traffic Police have patrolled and handled a series of trucks on Highway 638 for carelessly covering them, causing dirt and rocks to fall on the road.
Dozens of trucks get tickets every day
In mid-January, following the Traffic Police Team of the Quy Nhon City Police (Binh Dinh Province) to inspect on Highway 638, reporters recorded a series of trucks carrying construction materials being inspected and fined.
A series of trucks carrying loose materials on route DT638 through Quy Nhon city were inspected.
On the morning of January 13, the traffic police team led by Lieutenant Colonel Ho Thi Thanh Hai, Deputy Captain of the Traffic Police - Order Team of Quy Nhon City Police, was present on Highway 638 through Tran Quang Dieu Ward, Quy Nhon City. At around 10:40 a.m., the traffic police team stopped vehicle 77C-162.85 driven by Ha Quoc Ph (residing in Phuoc Son Commune, Tuy Phuoc District, Binh Dinh).
At the time of inspection, the vehicle was moving, kicking up a lot of dust on the road. The authorities made a report for "carrying covered dirt and rocks but leaving them scattered on the road".
About half an hour later, at 11:15, also on this route, the traffic police team issued a ticket to truck 77H-046.95 driven by Vo Giap T (residing in Vinh Hiep commune, Vinh Thanh district, Binh Dinh) for the same violation.
On January 13, dozens of vehicles carrying materials that fell on Highway 638 were ticketed.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Ho Thi Thanh Hai, for this violation, the driver will be fined 3 million VND. On January 13, on Route 638, more than 10 vehicles carrying loose materials were fined. Most of them were for the violation of "carrying soil and rock covered but leaving it scattered on the road".
On the morning of January 14, the Quy Nhon City Police Inspection Team continued to be present in this area to inspect and handle violating vehicles. In just about half an hour, from 7:30 to 8:00, two trucks with license plates 77C-131.85 and 77E-010.40 were consecutively ticketed for the violation of "carrying covered dirt and rocks but leaving them scattered on the road".
According to the Traffic Police - Order Team of Quy Nhon City Police, in just 2 days (January 13-14), the unit has issued fines for 16 cases of trucks transporting materials that violated the law. Most of them were for the violation of "carrying soil and rocks with covers but leaving them scattered on the road". The total fine is nearly 50 million VND.
Request for non-violation commitment
DT638 route has a total investment of 1,600 billion VND. This is an important traffic route, connecting Long Van urban area with Quy Nhon city and Phu Tai, Long My, Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh industrial parks to expand urban space and develop service industry to the Southwest of Binh Dinh province.
Recently, a number of large projects have been implemented along the route, promoting local socio -economic development. Therefore, the traffic volume, especially vehicles carrying construction materials for construction works, has increased.
Along with issuing fines, traffic police asked drivers to pledge not to violate the rules.
Quy Nhon City Police said they will increase patrols on the route to promptly detect and handle violations to ensure traffic safety for people and other vehicles traveling on the route.
The leader of the Traffic Police - Order Team of Quy Nhon City Police said that the violating trucks will be fined and warned by the Traffic Police. To limit the situation of trucks carrying soil and construction materials violating the law, the Traffic Police Team of Quy Nhon City Police has asked vehicle owners and drivers to sign a commitment to strictly comply with the law on traffic order and safety.
