A solemn ceremony commemorating the 120th anniversary of the birth of Comrade Nguyen Trac - former Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee (November 4, 1904).

Attending the commemoration ceremony were comrades Vu Ngoc Hoang - former Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Propaganda Department; Ha Ban - former Deputy Head of the Central Organization Department; Lieutenant General Le Chiem - former Deputy Minister of National Defense ; and Lieutenant General, Hero of the People's Armed Forces Vo Tien Trung - former Director of the National Defense Academy.

Quang Nam province was represented by comrades Luong Nguyen Minh Triet - Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Duc Dung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Van Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; and former provincial leaders.

Also attending the commemoration ceremony were Comrade Nguyen Dinh Vinh - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, along with representatives from the leadership, departments, and agencies of Da Nang City and Binh Dinh province; and a delegation from the family of Comrade Nguyen Trac.

At the commemoration ceremony, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet delivered a speech commemorating the 120th anniversary of the birth of Comrade Nguyen Trac - former Deputy Secretary of the Central Vietnam Regional Party Committee, former Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee - a communist soldier and a loyal son of Quang Nam homeland.

Beginning his speech, Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet stated: Throughout the long history of nation-building and national defense, Quang Nam has always been recognized as a land of "sacred land and outstanding people." The harsh natural environment and a history full of hardships have forged the patriotic tradition and courageous character of the people of Quang Nam.

On this land, "every era has its distinguished figures, every region has its many heroic individuals with great aspirations" who have made glorious contributions to the nation and brought honor to their homeland. Comrade Nguyen Trac is one of those exemplary individuals.

Recalling the glorious revolutionary life of Comrade Nguyen Trac, Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet affirmed: At eighty-two years old (1904 - 1986), with 56 years of Party membership (1930 - 1986) and 51 years (1928 - 1979) of continuous, heroic, and passionate activity, Comrade Nguyen Trac dedicated everything to the glorious revolutionary cause of our Party and nation.

The history of the Vietnamese revolution will forever remember the immense contributions of Comrade Nguyen Trac – a loyal son of Quang Nam province; a dedicated and impartial cadre; a true and loyal communist. On the 120th anniversary of Comrade Nguyen Trac's birth, we are immensely proud, respectful, and grateful to this outstanding son of the nation and of Quang Nam province. We further understand and cherish the invaluable revolutionary lessons for the current task of building and developing our homeland.

According to Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, the commemoration of the 120th anniversary of the birth of Comrade Nguyen Trac (1904 - 2024) takes place in an atmosphere where the entire Party, people, and army are actively implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party and the 22nd Congress of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee, as well as resolutions, directives, conclusions, and regulations on Party building and rectification, and building the political system; in conjunction with implementing Conclusion No. 01 of the Politburo of the 13th Party Congress on continuing to promote the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style.

This is also an opportunity for us to learn from and emulate Comrade Nguyen Trac, a loyal son of Quang Nam province, with the noble qualities of a revolutionary soldier who was steadfast in his loyalty to the Party, dedicated to his work, and devoted to the people.

Speaking at the commemoration ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Chinh, son of Comrade Nguyen Trac, on behalf of the family, expressed gratitude, emotion, and deep impression of the activities organized by Quang Nam province to commemorate the 120th anniversary of Comrade Nguyen Trac's birth.

"We are delighted that our homeland has remembered him (Comrade Nguyen Trac - PV), that our homeland has acknowledged his contributions, and above all, we are deeply grateful for the profound affection our homeland has for him, his comrades, and his family."

"Throughout his life, he was always proud to be a son of Quang Nam province. The strong development of the revolutionary movement in his homeland gave him the will and determination to overcome many hardships and challenges, and to fulfill the tasks that his homeland and country entrusted to him during certain historical periods," Mr. Nguyen Chinh stated.

Comrade Nguyen Trac, alias Thieu, was born on November 4, 1904, in Ha Thanh village, Ha Nong commune, Dien Ban district, now Ha Tay village, Dien Hoa commune, Dien Ban town, Quang Nam province. His father was Nguyen Chuan, and his mother was Tran Thi Can.
Born and raised in a homeland rich in patriotic traditions, Comrade Nguyen Trac left his family at an early age to participate in revolutionary activities.
Through his work, at the end of 1937, he was honored to be elected Deputy Secretary of the Central Vietnam Regional Party Committee, concurrently serving as Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee, in charge of the provinces from Da Nang southward.
During his time as Acting Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee, under the direct guidance of the Regional Party Committee, Comrade Nguyen Trac, together with the Provincial Party Committee, led many struggles, attracting large numbers of people from all walks of life to participate…
For his meritorious contributions, he was awarded the Ho Chi Minh Order; the First Class Independence Order; the 40-Year Party Membership Badge and many other prestigious awards. On March 29, 2013, the President posthumously awarded Comrade Nguyen Trac the Gold Star Order.
