The average salary in 2023 is nearly 8.5 million VND/month

According to information from the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the average salary in 2023 of workers is 8.49 million VND/month (an increase of 3% compared to last year).

The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs said that it has reported on the salary and bonus situation for employees in 62/63 provinces and cities. The synthesis of reports from 62 provinces and cities shows that the average salary of employees in 2023 is estimated at 8.49 million VND/month. The highest salary is 834 million VND/month for senior management positions at foreign-invested enterprises (FDI) in Dong Nai .

Regarding Tet bonuses, up to now, more than 56% of enterprises have planned to give Tet bonuses with an average bonus of 1.85 million VND/person, an increase of 49% compared to last year. Of which, the highest bonus of 376 million VND/person belongs to senior management positions at FDI enterprises in Vinh Phuc province.

At the same time, about 61% of businesses plan to give Lunar New Year bonuses with an average bonus of 6.85 million VND/person, equivalent to the Lunar New Year bonus of Quy Mao in 2023. However, the highest bonus of up to 5.68 billion VND/person belongs to a senior management position at an FDI enterprise in Long An province.
