(Dan Tri Newspaper) - While the bus was pulling over to drop off passengers, a young man wearing a ride-hailing motorbike driver's uniform suddenly rushed onto the bus and repeatedly punched the driver.
On March 23, a video circulated on social media showing a bus driver being attacked while driving. Verification confirmed that the incident occurred around 5:30 AM on March 22, on National Highway 13, in the Thu Duc City area of Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the video, while the bus was pulling into a station on National Highway 13 to drop off passengers, a young man wearing a ride-hailing service uniform suddenly climbed onto the bus. There, the young man approached the driver's seat and repeatedly attacked the driver with his hands and feet. Upon noticing the incident, a staff member on the bus intervened, and the young man left immediately afterward. The entire incident was recorded by the bus's security camera.
Speaking to a reporter from Dan Tri newspaper, a representative of the 19/5 Transport Cooperative said that the person attacked in the video is THC driver (born in 1972), who drives bus number 19 on the Ben Thanh - Ho Chi Minh City National University route.
Authorities in Thu Duc City are investigating and clarifying the cause of the incident.
