(CLO) On December 17th and 18th, the Ho Chi Minh City Press Center launched a training course for nearly 50 participants, including secretaries, deputy secretaries, chairmen, and vice-chairmen of districts, communes, wards, and towns; directors and deputy directors of departments and agencies; and specialists capable of speaking and directly providing information to the press.
The course aims to help officials and leaders of units in Ho Chi Minh City improve their public speaking, communication, and effective interaction with the press.

During this time, trainees will be presented with topics by experienced experts, journalists, and lecturers, including: Decree 09/2017 (regulating public statements and providing information to the press); some situations to note and handling media crises; relations with the press; answering press interviews; interview practice; some basic regulations of the Press Law; press releases and organizing press conferences.
Through this training course, the organizers aim to convey legal regulations related to journalism and media spokespersons; equip participants with skills in communication, presentation, interviewing, media relations, and crisis management... This will help participants gain more experience and confidence in their role as spokespersons.
