Improving skills for more than 150 leading officials working on new rural areas in 57 provinces and cities

On November 4, in Hue City, the Ministry of Home Affairs organized a training course on knowledge and skills for civil servants at the department and sector levels working on new rural construction (NTM) in 2024.

Attending the training course were Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Trieu Van Cuong, representatives of leaders of a number of units under the Ministry of Home Affairs and more than 150 officials, civil servants, leaders and managers working on new rural construction at the department, branch and sector levels of 57/63 provinces and centrally run cities.

During the 2 days, more than 150 trainees will be informed by the reporters about many contents and knowledge about the overview of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction for the period 2021 - 2025; basic issues on theory and practice of leadership and management in the National Target Program on New Rural Construction for the period 2021 - 2025.

The training course focuses on policy-related issues that need to be resolved, and exchanges practical experiences in the effective implementation of some localities and facilities in the new rural development program. Problems in localities will be summarized to reflect to competent authorities for consideration and timely resolution.

The training course aims to contribute to improving awareness, knowledge, professional qualifications, capacity, management skills, operation and organization of the implementation of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction for cadres and civil servants working on New Rural Construction at the department and branch levels.

According to Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Trieu Van Cuong, the implementation of the National Target Program on New Rural Development in recent times has been assessed as very effective. Many key projects and works under the National Target Program on New Rural Development have been implemented in localities. The electricity system, roads, schools, stations, etc. in rural areas have been built spaciously, cleanly and beautifully, and the material life of the people has changed significantly.

Mr. Trieu Van Cuong said that the Ministry of Home Affairs is continuing to guide localities to implement 3 contents and criteria of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction for the 2021-2025 period according to Decision No. 263/QD-TTg dated February 22, 2022 and Decision No. 318/QD-TTg dated March 8, 2022 of the Prime Minister .

The Ministry of Home Affairs continues to monitor and urge localities to promote the implementation of emulation movements, especially the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas" in the period of 2021 - 2025, striving to complete the goals and tasks in 2024.

The Ministry of Home Affairs also regularly monitors and guides the People's Committees of provinces and cities to implement criterion 18.1 "Civil servants and public employees meeting standards", promptly respond and resolve local problems during the implementation process, contributing to promoting the work of improving the quality of communal civil servants and public employees according to regulations.
