April 26: Opening of Co To island tourism in 2025

According to information from the People's Committee of Co To district, at 8:00 p.m. on April 26, the Opening Ceremony of Sea and Island Tourism 2025 with the theme "Co To - Where the Waves Call the Sun" will take place at the outdoor stage of the Special National Monument Square of President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site on Co To island.

The green, pristine islands attract many tourists to Co To.

The program includes: Opening of Co To Island Tourism 2025; art performances and folk music concert. The program will announce tourist routes and tourism products in 2025, introduce economic development potential and promote island tourism activities in 2025, affirming Co To as a destination with different experiences. This will be followed by special performances by artists.

Through musical melodies, lyrics, and dances, Co To will be portrayed with its unique nature, heroic history, diverse marine culture, and economic tourism potentials that are moving towards an increasingly flourishing and bright future. At the same time, through the performances, people and tourists will review the heroic historical traditions of the nation, celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), celebrate the 64th anniversary of Uncle Ho's visit to the island (May 9, 1961 - May 9, 2025), and introduce and promote the historical and cultural values, resources, tourism products, and cultural activities that will take place in 2025 in Co To district.

At the program, the People's Committee of Co To district also launched the "Clean Co To - Green Summer Campaign" to all cadres, soldiers, people and tourists. Thereby, improving the tourism environment, enhancing quality and services towards developing tourism products in a sustainable, green, clean and beautiful direction.

Before that, from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., people and tourists can participate in the launch program "Discovering the sunset on Co To Island" with activities: taking photos with the beautiful sunset, taking photos with mermaids, and experiencing cuisine in Co To.
