Students participate in voluntary blood donation.
At the event, approximately 300 people participated in voluntary blood donation, resulting in the collection of 200 units of blood to be used for emergency care and treatment during the summer.
The An Giang Provincial Red Cross Society stated that in July and August each year, the demand for blood for treatment at hospitals increases significantly, while the blood supply is insufficient. The "An Giang Blood Donation Day" held during this period contributes to meeting the blood demand during peak times, saving hundreds of lives.
Since the launch of the Red Journey Program on June 1, 2025, An Giang province has organized numerous voluntary blood donation activities, receiving 1,182 units of blood; currently, the blood donation point at the Central Executive Board of the Hoa Hao Buddhist Church is increasing its blood collection efforts. The program will conclude on July 28, 2025.
