Nghe An will celebrate the 995th anniversary of its name and the 95th anniversary of the Nghe Tinh Soviet movement.

Mr. Bui Cong Vinh, Deputy Director of Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that the event aims to affirm the historical, cultural and revolutionary values of Nghe An over the past millennium.

In particular, the celebration emphasized the significance and stature of the Nghe Tinh Soviet movement 1930-1931, a shining symbol of patriotism, indomitable will and leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam .

As planned, the celebration activities will take place from September 8 to 12, 2025.

On September 8, at the Nghe An - Soviet Nghe Tinh Museum, there will be an opening ceremony for the exhibition "Aspiration for Freedom" and a discussion with relatives of revolutionary veterans and Soviet Nghe Tinh soldiers.

On September 9, the program "I love history club" for students will also take place here to arouse love for the homeland and a sense of responsibility to preserve traditions.

On the evening of September 12, flower and incense offering ceremonies at the Nghe Tinh Soviet Relic Site (Hung Nguyen), the Martyrs Memorial House and the Nghe An - Nghe Tinh Soviet Museum will be solemnly held.

On the same day, the province will receive the Certificate of National Special Monument for Places Associated with the Nghe Tinh Soviet Movement, hold a solemn celebration, inaugurate the Nghe Tinh Soviet Exhibition House and launch the night experience show "Soviet Fire".

This is considered an important highlight, combining memorial ceremonies with creative cultural and artistic activities, promising to create a new mark in promoting the history and cultural tourism of Nghe An.
