The Hindustan Times recently cited research results from the Karolinska Institute (Sweden) and the University of Copenhagen (Denmark) - published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States, saying that exercising at different times of the day can affect the body in different ways.
Exercising in the morning can boost metabolism and burn fat more effectively.

Specifically, in this study, scientists observed the exercise process on mice. Accordingly, the research results showed that mice that exercised in the morning had a better metabolism than mice that "exercised" late at night.
The authors explain that physical activity early in the day can affect the activity of genes related to fat tissue breakdown, promoting thermogenesis in fat tissue, thereby increasing metabolic rate and burning excess fat.
"Choosing the right time to exercise seems to be important for the body's energy balance and improving health," said study team member Professor Juleen, an expert at the Karolinska Institutet.
"This study's preliminary results suggest that exercising in the morning may boost metabolism and burn fat more effectively than late at night," added Professor Zierath.
