On the morning of September 5, a representative of Ha Tinh General Hospital informed that the unit had successfully resuscitated a male patient NMT (49 years old, residing in Thanh Sen ward, Ha Tinh) who had stopped breathing and had a heart attack for nearly 40 minutes.
Accordingly, on August 26, while playing Pickleball, Mr. T. suddenly fell to the ground. Immediately after, Mr. T. received CPR from a fellow player and an ambulance was called. On the way to the hospital, Mr. T. continued to receive CPR and continuous CPR.

After 25 minutes, the patient was taken to the Provincial General Hospital in a state of cyanosis, deep coma, respiratory and cardiac arrest.
After 9 days of intensive treatment, the patient has fully recovered, is more alert and will be discharged in the next few days.
According to Dr. Nguyen Viet Hai, Head of the Intensive Care Unit (Ha Tinh General Hospital), the decisive factor in successfully saving the life of a NMT patient is to provide initial cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the spot and during transport, thereby helping to maintain cerebral circulation.
In addition, there is also quick and good coordination between the Emergency - Cardiology - Intensive Care departments and timely professional guidance and support from Hanoi Medical University Hospital.
