On the morning of September 5th, representatives from the Ha Tinh Provincial General Hospital reported that they had successfully resuscitated a 49-year-old male patient, NMT, residing in Thanh Sen ward, Ha Tinh province, who had suffered respiratory and cardiac arrest for nearly 40 minutes.
Accordingly, on August 26th, while playing Pickleball, Mr. T. suddenly fell to the ground. Immediately afterwards, his fellow players performed CPR and called an ambulance. On the way to the hospital, Mr. T. continued to receive CPR.

After 25 minutes, the patient was taken to the Provincial General Hospital in a state of generalized cyanosis, deep coma, respiratory arrest, and cardiac arrest.
After 9 days of intensive treatment, the patient has fully recovered, is more alert, and will be discharged in the next few days.
According to Dr. Nguyen Viet Hai, Head of the Intensive Care Unit (Ha Tinh Provincial General Hospital), the decisive factor in successfully saving NMT patients is receiving initial cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the spot and during transport, thereby helping to maintain cerebral circulation.
In addition, there was rapid and seamless coordination between the Emergency, Cardiology, and Intensive Care departments, along with timely professional guidance and support from Hanoi Medical University Hospital.
