"Vietnamese people have brown skin and black eyes" is a line from the song "One Round Around Vietnam" by composer Dong Thien Duc, which was performed by singer Tung Duong more than a year ago and went viral online. In response to online reactions, Dong Thien Duc had to explain: "Figuratively speaking, I used the term 'brown skin' because at the beginning of the song, I mentioned my mother. Perhaps before she gave birth to me and my siblings, she had yellow skin, but through days of hard work, sleeping under the sun, and shielding us from the wind to raise us, her skin became tanned and darkened. I included the term 'brown skin' in the song because it reflects the greatest respect I have for my parents and all Vietnamese people."

After the match, Tung Duong wrote: "Nguyen Xuan Son - a Vietnamese man with brown skin and black eyes, that's the line, isn't it? Don't wonder why I sang it wrong anymore." Under his post, singer Tung Duong asked Dong Thien Duc: "Is that correct?" The musician replied: "You can only see it as correct."
