(NLDO) - 8 motorbikes and 5 cars were damaged after a car suddenly crashed randomly on Hoang Van Thu Street, Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City.

On January 13, Phu Nhuan District Police (HCMC) are investigating a series of accidents in the area.

At about 8:30 a.m., a man drove a 4-seat car with a Ho Chi Minh City license plate on Hoang Van Thu Street, heading from Tan Son Nhat Airport to Phu Nhuan intersection.

When reaching alley 229 Hoang Van Thu street, ward 8, this vehicle suddenly hit many motorbikes and cars going in the same direction.

Next, the 4-seat car crashed into the grounds of an apartment building about 50 meters from the original location, hit several parked cars, and then stopped.

Initial reports said eight motorbikes and five cars were damaged. Several injured motorcyclists were taken to hospital.

The 4-seat car promptly deployed airbags so the male driver was not injured.

Phu Nhuan District authorities then arrived at the scene to block off and investigate the cause of the accident.

Initially, the authorities did not detect alcohol concentration in the male driver.
