BTO-On December 19, the 7th Congress of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association (VHNT) for the 2023-2028 term officially opened. Attending the event were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh; Mr. Huynh Thai Duong - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Mr. Vuong Duy Bien - Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations (UBTQLH) along with leaders of departments, branches, and 143 members.

During the 2018-2023 term, with the attention and leadership of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, and the National Committee of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, the Provincial Literature and Arts Association has performed well its function of gathering and guiding members to create many works and works of literature and arts with ideological and artistic value, contributing to improving the spiritual life of the people. Despite many difficulties, Binh Thuan's literary and artistic activities continue to develop and achieve results, such as: The team of writers and artists is increasingly mature in terms of perception, thinking, and artistic creativity, contributing significantly to the promotion and orientation of humanistic values and national cultural identity to meet the requirements of building a social spiritual foundation and the development of Vietnamese people with the goal of truth, goodness, and beauty... The literary and artistic works and creations of the members have truly reflected the renovation process, affirmed new factors, new examples, and fought to criticize the bad and the evil.

Accordingly, in recent years, many works have been highly appreciated by the public, selected to participate in competitions, festivals, and exhibitions organized by the locality, region, and the whole country, winning many encouraging awards. Some members have works with increasingly affirmed quality, introduced, and widely disseminated to the public.

In the 2023 - 2028 term, the Association will continue to innovate, maintain the content of the orientation of literary and artistic creation and creation according to the Party's guidelines; innovate and develop diverse types and methods of literary and artistic creation and creation with quality and effectiveness. Promote creative activities that vividly reflect the lives of all classes of people and the socio-economic development of the locality; build and develop a team of artists with strong capacity and strong political ideology, consolidate, innovate and improve the quality of activities.

Speaking at the congress, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh acknowledged and praised the contributions of the Association of Literature and Arts and artists during the past term. At the same time, he emphasized: General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong affirmed that "regarding the common goal, our Party clearly stated: Building a comprehensively developed Vietnamese culture, aiming at truth - goodness - beauty, imbued with national spirit, humanity, democracy and science ; making culture truly become a solid spiritual foundation of society, an important endogenous strength, ensuring sustainable development and firmly protecting the Fatherland, for the goal of a rich people, a strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization".

However, in addition to the achievements in the past term, the province's literary and artistic activities still have certain limitations, have not made a prominent mark and are not on par with the creative potential of Binh Thuan, a land rich in cultural traditions, history and revolutionary fighting spirit. In addition, the Association needs to propagate and thoroughly grasp the Party's viewpoints and Resolutions on the development of literature and art in the new situation. Strive to create many literary and artistic works of high ideological and artistic value, which have the effect of building the values of "truth - goodness - beauty"; both orienting and meeting the people's need for spiritual and cultural enjoyment.
