Launching the Literary and Artistic Composition Contest "Unified Country"

The literary and artistic composition contest “Unified Mountains and Rivers” encourages works depicting the land and people of Hai Phong in the flow of history and the present.

The Hai Phong Literature and Arts Association has just announced the rules of the Literature and Arts Composition Contest with the theme "Unified Country", practically welcoming the important political and cultural events of the country and the city, and at the same time looking forward to the first City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

Accordingly, all Vietnamese citizens can participate, with no limit on the number of works. The two categories for consideration include: literature (short stories, memoirs) and folk arts (composing new lyrics for ca tru and hat van). The organizing committee especially encourages works that depict the land and people of Hai Phong in the flow of history and the present, while ensuring clear language, in accordance with good customs and traditions.

The deadline for receiving works is October 31, 2025, via the address of the Hai Phong Literature and Arts Association, No. 19 Tran Hung Dao, Hong Bang Ward, Hai Phong, or email: [email protected].

The winning works will be published, printed or staged depending on the type.

The total prize value is 84 million VND with 2 sets of prizes for 2 majors, including 1 A prize (10 million VND), 2 B prizes (7 million VND/prize), 3 C prizes (4 million VND/prize) and 3 Encouragement prizes (2 million VND/prize). The summary and award ceremony is expected to take place at the end of November 2025.

The contest is expected to become a vibrant literary and artistic activity, affirming the role of creativity in fostering love for homeland and country and the aspiration for prosperous development.
