(NLĐO) – The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly believes it is time to consider attracting high-tech projects to the eastern region of Quang Nam province.
On December 4th, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai attended and delivered a speech at the 28th session of the Quang Nam Provincial People's Council, 10th term, 2021-2026.
Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai informed the provincial People's Council delegates about the important contents of the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly and stated that the success of the session serves as a valuable lesson for the People's Council to apply appropriately, further improving the quality and effectiveness of its operations.
Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai delivered a speech at the 28th session of the 10th term of the Quang Nam Provincial People's Council.
On behalf of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, Vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Hai congratulated and commended the efforts, dedication, sense of responsibility, proactiveness, and creativity in leadership, direction, management, and coordination of the Party Committee, government, and people of Quang Nam province, in achieving outstanding results in socio-economic development.
According to the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Quang Nam is entering a phase of summarizing and evaluating the implementation of the Resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term, with many noteworthy results, but the province's economy still faces many challenges.
Regarding the development strategy of Quang Nam, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly suggested that further research is needed to develop it in the new context.

“After 25 years since the re-establishment of the province, we have built a fundamental foundation, notably in developing infrastructure, shifting the economic structure, and achieving high-quality development. Our budget revenue ranks among the top in the Central region, reflecting Quang Nam's determination to escape poverty and move forward, as well as its dynamism and creativity,” the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly assessed.
However, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hai believes that a new development mindset is needed in the modern context. Quang Nam must embrace the concept of breakthroughs and accelerated growth, aiming for digital and high-tech economic development in the eastern region, paying attention to regional linkages…
"Given that we have a very large land fund, with 20,000 hectares in the eastern region, we previously focused on developing tourism, but it's time to think about attracting high technology, technology with high intellectual content to address the province's high-quality human resource needs," the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly suggested.
Basically agreeing with the key tasks and solutions set forth by the province, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly suggested that Quang Nam should focus, be decisive, and creative in organizing the implementation of tasks, building programs, plans, and projects with practical and specific content, assigning clear responsibilities, and setting a roadmap for implementation to create a clear transformation in socio-economic development; and focus on building a united, clean, and strong Party and political system…
