Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long directed the Ministry of Education and Training to consider the regulation on the time to announce the 10th grade exam plan early to create favorable conditions for schools and students.
The Government Office has just issued a document conveying Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long's opinion on handling press information reflecting on the draft Regulations on Secondary and High School Admissions.
Specifically, recently, the press has reported information related to the draft Regulations on Secondary and High School Admissions.
Accordingly, the draft Regulations on Secondary and High School Admissions proposes that the 10th grade exam will consist of three subjects including Math, Literature and a third subject or a combined exam selected by the Department of Education and Training and the highereducation institution with the high school and announced before March 31 every year.
On forums, many parents agree with the plan to take 3 exams for grade 10 high school, but are concerned and worried that the third exam subject is "secret" and announced close to the exam date, which is very urgent. Parents think that the Ministry of Education and Training should adjust the time to announce the exam subjects earlier so that students can review.
In response to that information, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long directed the Ministry of Education and Training to carefully review, research, and absorb public opinions to complete and promulgate the Junior High School and High School Admission Regulations according to its authority.
In particular, consider the regulation on the announcement time for the early exam plan to create favorable conditions for schools and students, especially in proactively planning appropriate and effective teaching, learning and review.
Deputy Minister of Education and Training: The third subject in the 10th grade exam will change every year.
