On the afternoon of July 14th, under the chairmanship of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly concluded its 24th session, completing its planned agenda.
At its 24th session, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly gave its opinion on summarizing and reviewing the implementation of the Resolution on National Assembly deputies' interaction with voters; and considered the report on the National Assembly's work on citizen petitions for May and June 2023.
The Standing Committee of the National Assembly heard reports and gave opinions on the initial results of the National Assembly Standing Committee's thematic supervision on the reform of the general education curriculum and textbooks.
The Standing Committee of the National Assembly has given its opinions on the draft Law on Roads and the draft Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety. It also gave its opinions on the summary of the 5th Session and initial opinions on the preparation for the 6th Session of the National Assembly.
The Standing Committee of the National Assembly has approved the draft Resolution of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on the reorganization of district and commune-level administrative units for the period 2023-2030.

In his closing remarks, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue emphasized that, after 2.5 days of work, the National Assembly Standing Committee had completed all 7 items on the planned agenda, achieving high quality results.
The head of the National Assembly stated that the session's documents had been meticulously prepared by the relevant agencies. Members of the National Assembly Standing Committee had spent time carefully studying the documents, providing responsible feedback, and contributing many insightful opinions.
Based on that, the Chairman of the National Assembly requested the Secretary General of the National Assembly, the Head of the National Assembly Office, and other agencies to promptly issue notices and conclusions of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on the contents of the session so that relevant organizations and agencies can quickly and urgently organize implementation.
The Chairman of the National Assembly noted that regarding the Resolution on the reorganization of district and commune-level administrative units for the period 2023-2030, which was adopted by the Standing Committee of the National Assembly at this session, relevant agencies are requested to urgently review and finalize it, striving to have it officially signed and issued within one week. This will serve as a basis for agencies and localities to organize implementation, ensuring that the timeline is met as stipulated.

The Speaker of the National Assembly acknowledged that the Government , ministries, agencies, and relevant organizations had closely coordinated with the National Assembly's agencies and the Standing Committee of the National Assembly to successfully organize this 24th regular session.
Stating that this is a further preparation for the 6th Session of the National Assembly, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue noted that there is still much work to be done in the coming period, including the regular August and September sessions of the National Assembly Standing Committee, the thematic session on lawmaking, and the Conference of Specialized National Assembly Deputies.
The head of the National Assembly requested the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and other agencies to continue updating and providing feedback, preparing both the content and the organization of the 6th Session. The Chairman of the National Assembly expressed confidence that with the experience accumulated since the beginning of the term and by continuing to promote effective coordination, the 6th Session will be meticulously prepared and successfully organized, meeting the wishes and expectations of voters and the people nationwide.
