Pleiku Transaction Office under the Gia Lai Provincial Social Policy Bank Branch (new) was established and officially put into operation from July 1, 2025. With a proactive spirit, Pleiku Transaction Office has quickly organized social policy credit activities in accordance with the operating model of the local government apparatus in the area of 7 new communes and wards after the arrangement: Bien Ho commune, Gao commune, Pleiku ward, Hoi Phu, Thong Nhat, Dien Hong, An Phu.
After the first transaction session on July 5 in Hoi Thuong Ward (old), Pleiku Transaction Office organized the next transaction session on July 7 at Thong Nhat I Transaction Point located right at the Hall of Residential Group 2. During the entire transaction session, loan disbursement, debt collection, interest collection, and savings were carried out smoothly. The staff, transaction officers, borrowers, group leaders, and representatives of associations and organizations receiving the trust were all present in full according to the plan and schedule announced in advance.
Mr. Le Van Hong - Head of the Savings and Loan Group 5, Thong Nhat Ward said: "To facilitate people's transactions, the Provincial Social Policy Bank Branch has organized Thong Nhat I transaction point at the Hall of Residential Group 2. This place is not too far from the old transaction point. The group has informed the borrowers about the new transaction point and transaction time so that people can proactively arrange their work".
Thong Nhat Ward was established on the basis of merging Thong Nhat, Dong Da, and Yen The wards (old). According to Mr. Le Van Hong, the Social Policy Bank has always paid attention to and created favorable conditions for people to access credit capital, choosing to arrange new transaction points that are convenient for travel. Regarding the Savings and Loan Group 5, Thong Nhat Ward (new), there are currently 53 households borrowing, with outstanding credit of 4.5 billion VND.
Directly following the developments at the first transaction session held in the area, Ms. Duong Thi Thuy - Specialist of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward - shared: "Implementing the work coordination program, I was assigned to participate in the transaction session at Thong Nhat Transaction Point I. The transaction session was organized in accordance with regulations, ensuring safety and smoothness. The location of the transaction point was conveniently arranged, close to the people, helping policy credit activities to well meet the transaction and loan needs of the people".
Pleiku Transaction Office is located at 102A Pham Van Dong, Pleiku Ward. The total outstanding credit balance managed by the Transaction Office is 550 billion VND, with 11,784 households with outstanding loans, belonging to 289 savings and loan groups operating in 7 new communes and wards.
To ensure that the social credit activities are operating smoothly according to the new local government organization model, the Pleiku Transaction Office has proactively surveyed and selected new transaction points. At the same time, it still ensures to maintain the transaction schedule at the old commune transaction points, so as not to affect the people.
Ms. Huynh Thi Tra Que - Director of Pleiku Transaction Office - said: "Right after July 1, we took advantage of the attention and support of local Party committees and authorities for the activities of the Bank for Social Policies. Based on the advice and proposals of the Transaction Office, local government leaders agreed to arrange transaction points at the headquarters of the People's Committees of wards and communes or at the meeting halls of residential groups and villages, ensuring that policy credit activities are close to the people, serving the people".
After more than 1 week of official operation, Pleiku Transaction Office has organized the first trading sessions at the old and new trading points in 7 communes and wards of Pleiku (new). According to the regular trading schedule, the trading sessions were held from July 5 to 24, taking place at 25 trading points (including 21 trading points in Pleiku City (old) and 4 trading points in Chu Pah, Dak Doa, Ia Grai districts (old).
From the reality of social policy credit activities after July 1st until now, Ms. Huynh Thi Tra Que - Director of Pleiku Transaction Office - added: "A very encouraging point is that the Party Committee, local authorities, socio -political organizations and people always pay attention and support to ensure smooth operation of policy credit activities. On the side of Pleiku Transaction Office, we will continue to take advantage of the attention and direction of the Central Government, Party Committees and local authorities at all levels, mobilize capital sources to expand lending, meet the demand for investment capital for economic development, and ensure social security in the communes and wards of the new Gia Lai province".
