Sharing insights into the rich history and cultural traditions of both nations, the two First Ladies emphasized the cultural similarities between Vietnam and South Korea as a foundation for strengthening friendly exchanges and expanding cooperation in various fields; they agreed on the particularly important role of people-to-people exchanges and cultural cooperation in consolidating a favorable social foundation for Vietnam-Korea relations.
Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly congratulated South Korea on its achievements in building and developing its cultural industry, contributing to spreading national cultural values to the world. Affirming that Vietnam has all the favorable conditions to develop an advanced, modern cultural industry with a strong national identity, Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly expressed her hope that South Korea would share its experience and work with Vietnam to promote closer cooperation in the cultural industry; support the transfer of technology in music , film, and fashion production; apply advanced science and technology in the production of creative cultural products; and protect copyright.
Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly expressed her appreciation and hope that the Korean government would continue to pay attention to and create favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community in Korea, including women, to better integrate into life in Korea and make positive contributions to the friendly relations between the two countries.
First Lady Kim Hae Kyung expressed her sympathy and appreciation for the efforts of Vietnamese brides in integrating into Korean life and gradually contributing to the development of South Korea. She affirmed that South Korea will continue to implement effective support policies to help Vietnamese-Korean multicultural families stabilize their lives, ensuring that the younger generation grows up proud of both cultures and becomes a special bridge of friendship between the two countries. First Lady Kim Hae Kyung shared that the President and First Lady greatly enjoy Vietnamese cuisine , especially banh mi, bun cha, and banh xeo.
During her visit to the National Museum of Korea, Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly expressed her admiration for the way the National Museum of Korea preserves and showcases the cultural and historical depth of the Korean nation in a very subtle and emotionally rich manner; emphasizing that this is a precious opportunity to better appreciate the similarities and profound cultural exchange between Vietnam and Korea.
Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly thanked Mrs. Kim Hae Kyung for arranging many meaningful activities, creating opportunities for her and the Vietnamese delegates to experience and gain a deeper understanding of Korean culture.
