Accordingly, at 7:50 p.m. on June 19, Mr. Bui Van N., from Quynh Nghia commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province, captain of fishing boat NA-90... contacted and informed the Gianh Port Border Guard Station about crew member Ho Van D. (born in 1969), from the same hometown in Nghe An province, who had a work accident that caused a crushed hand and left rib injury while fishing about 70 nautical miles southeast of Gianh port. The boat was on its way back to shore, the captain requested the unit to provide medical support and emergency aid when the boat entered port.

Upon receiving the information, the Gianh Port Border Guard Station mobilized a working group of 3 officers and 1 military medic to prepare vehicles and emergency medicine to wait for the ship to arrive to support the fishermen, while maintaining communication with the ship. Through conversation, the unit's military medic instructed the crew on board to perform first aid measures, fix the wound...

At 4:30 a.m. on June 20, ship NA-90... docked at Gianh River fishing port. Border guards coordinated with doctors and family to promptly transfer the patient to the Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Hospital in Dong Hoi for emergency treatment.
