Quang Tri spends 9 billion VND to support the construction of 300 houses for poor households in Dakrong and Huong Hoa.

The People's Committee of Quang Tri province has just issued Decision No. 2206/QD-UBND dated September 11, 2024 on allocating 9 billion VND to support the construction of 300 houses for poor households in Dakrong and Huong Hoa districts under Project 197/DA-UBND-MTTQ.

According to the approved decision, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province allocated 9 billion VND from the 2024 provincial budget from the 2024 economic career source, including 3 billion VND from Hanoi City to carry out the tasks of social security, poverty reduction and gratitude in 2024.

Specifically, support for building 202 houses for poor households in Dakrong district with a total amount of more than 6 billion VND; support for building 98 houses for poor households in Huong Hoa district with a total amount of more than 2.9 billion VND.

In Quang Tri, implementing the housing support policy for poor and near-poor households in poor districts under the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the 2021-2025 period, the province has proposed a plan to build 1,273 new houses and repair 322 houses. Particularly for new construction, in the first quarter of 2024, the locality will build 155 houses, and the plan is to build 170 new houses in the second quarter.

This is a large program, with profound humanity and needs to be implemented effectively to create a strong spread throughout society to join hands in repairing and building solid houses for poor, near-poor and policy families to ensure that these subjects have safe and stable housing, gradually improve their living standards and escape poverty sustainably.
