Quang Tri province allocates 9 billion VND to support the construction of 300 houses for poor households in Dakrong and Huong Hoa districts.

The People's Committee of Quang Tri province recently issued Decision No. 2206/QD-UBND dated September 11, 2024, allocating 9 billion VND to support the construction of 300 houses for poor households in Dakrong and Huong Hoa districts under Project 197/DA-UBND-MTTQ.

According to the approved decision, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province will allocate 9 billion VND from the provincial budget for 2024, specifically from the economic development fund for 2024. This includes 3 billion VND from the Hanoi City budget to support social welfare, poverty reduction, and gratitude programs in 2024.

Specifically, support was provided for the construction of 202 houses for poor households in Dakrong district with a total amount of over 6 billion VND; and support was provided for the construction of 98 houses for poor households in Huong Hoa district with a total amount of over 2.9 billion VND.

In Quang Tri province, implementing the policy of housing support for poor and near-poor households in poor districts under the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction giai đoạn 2021-2025, the province has set a plan to build 1,273 new houses and repair 322 houses. Regarding new construction, in the first quarter of 2024, 155 houses will be built, and the plan for the second quarter is to build 170 new houses.

This is a large-scale program with profound humanitarian significance, and it needs to be implemented effectively to create a strong ripple effect throughout society, encouraging everyone to work together to repair and build sturdy houses for poor, near-poor, and policy-beneficiary families.
