Quang Tri: Two young men were awarded the "Brave Youth" badge for saving a drowning person.

On September 8, Quang Tri Provincial Youth Union organized the awarding of the "Brave Youth" badge to two local youths who bravely jumped into the river to save a drowning woman, contributing to spreading the spirit of beautiful and responsible living among the youth.

Authorized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Toan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Head of the Provincial Youth Union's Inspection Committee, and President of the Vietnam Youth Union Association of Quang Tri Province, presented badges to Vo Hoang Vu (member of the Thach Ban village branch, Le Thuy commune) and Nguyen Vo Huy Cong (youth member of the Tuy Loc village branch, Le Thuy commune).

The Youth Badge was awarded to two young men from Le Thuy commune.

Earlier, at around 9 PM on August 2, 2025, a woman unexpectedly jumped into the Kien Giang River (near Phong Xuan Bridge, Le Thuy Commune). Upon witnessing the incident, two young men, Vu and Cong, without hesitation, bravely jumped into the water and brought the victim to safety on shore.

The heroic actions of the two young men have been highly praised by the online community and public opinion, spreading widely and becoming a shining example of courage and humanitarian spirit among the youth of Quang Tri.

The "Brave Youth" badge is a prestigious award from the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, recognizing courageous actions and a willingness to sacrifice for the safety and happiness of others.
