Quang Tri: Truong Ninh Commune basically completed the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for 299 households.

On August 16, Mr. Tran Quang Minh, Secretary of the Party Committee of Truong Ninh commune (Quang Tri province) said that the locality basically completed the plan with 299 households having their houses newly built or repaired after a period of implementation.

According to Mr. Tran Quang Minh, from July 1, 2025, the commune has reviewed, made a list, and publicized beneficiaries, implementing the motto "State support, community assistance, and household participation in construction".

Truong Ninh Commune is a pioneer in Quang Tri province in helping people eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

As a result, 40 poor and near-poor households were supported (18 new houses were built, 22 houses were repaired), along with 259 households of meritorious people and relatives of martyrs (50 new houses were built, 209 houses were repaired). The total mobilized capital was over 41.3 billion VND, of which the budget and the Central Government supported 14.92 billion VND, socialization and families contributed 26.46 billion VND; mobilizing over 5,420 laborers.

To date, 297/299 households have started construction, and 287 households have completed acceptance. The new houses are all guaranteed to be solid, safe, and hygienic, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of the people.

Many houses were built before the rainy season.

The commune aims to accept, disburse all funds, and complete 2 households that have not yet started construction (Mrs. Bui Thi Ngan's household, Don village; Mrs. Truong Thi Lom's household, Dong Co Hien village) and 10 households that are completing the completion documents by September 15, 2025.

In particular, on this occasion, Truong Ninh commune has just completed and handed over a new house to Mrs. Tran Thi Mac (daughter of a martyr, Xuan Duc 2 village). The 60m² house, reinforced concrete structure, closed, was built in 40 days with a total cost of 300 million VND, including: 60 million from the central budget, 20 million from the province, 220 million from BIDV and the family's counterpart.

The government, the Fatherland Front, and organizations support working days and supervise quality. The project demonstrates the philosophy of “When drinking water, remember its source”, showing gratitude to those who have contributed, contributing to stabilizing life and spreading the social movement to care for families with preferential policies.
