Truong Ninh commune is a pioneering locality in Quang Tri province in helping people eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

As a result, 40 poor and near-poor households received support (18 new houses built, 22 houses repaired), along with 259 households of war veterans and relatives of martyrs (50 new houses built, 209 houses repaired). The total capital mobilized exceeded 41.3 billion VND, of which 14.92 billion VND came from the state budget and central government, and 26.46 billion VND from social contributions and family donations; over 5,420 man-hours of labor were also mobilized.

To date, construction has begun on 297 out of 299 houses, with 287 completed and inspected. The new houses are all sturdy, safe, and hygienic, contributing to improving the material and spiritual lives of the people.

Many houses were built before the rainy season.

The commune aims to complete the acceptance and disbursement of funds by September 15, 2025, for the two households that have not yet started construction (Ms. Bui Thi Ngan's household in Don village; Ms. Truong Thi Lom's household in Dong Co Hien village) and the 10 households that are currently completing their construction completion documents.

Notably, on this occasion, Truong Ninh commune has just completed and handed over a new house to Mrs. Tran Thi Mac (daughter of a fallen soldier, Xuan Duc 2 village). The 60m² house, with a reinforced concrete structure and enclosed design, was built in 40 days with a total cost of 300 million VND, including: 60 million VND from the central government, 20 million VND from the province, 220 million VND from BIDV , and the family's contribution.

The government, the Fatherland Front, and mass organizations provided labor support and supervised quality. The project embodies the principle of "drinking water, remembering the source," expressing gratitude to those who have contributed, helping to stabilize their lives, and spreading the social movement of caring for families of policy beneficiaries.
