According to the agenda of the 8th session, the National Assembly adjourned on the morning of November 25th. In the afternoon of the same day, the National Assembly discussed in the plenary session the draft Law amending and supplementing several articles of the Advertising Law; and discussed solutions to further address difficulties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic so that Vietnam Airlines Corporation can recover and develop sustainably.
On November 26th, the National Assembly discussed the reports on the work of the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court and the Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuracy ; the work of crime prevention and control; the work of enforcement of judgments; and the work of corruption prevention and control in 2024.
On the morning of November 27th, the National Assembly voted to approve: the Law on People's Air Defense; the amended Law on Trade Unions; the National Assembly Resolution on the investment policy for the National Target Program on Cultural Development for the period 2025-2035; and discussed in the plenary session the draft amended Law on Employment.
Later that afternoon, the National Assembly voted to pass the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Health Insurance Law; the Resolution on the investment policy for the National Target Program for drug prevention and control until 2030; and discussed in the plenary session the draft Law on amended Special Consumption Tax.
According to the session's agenda, after 4:45 PM on November 27th and in the morning (until 8:30 AM) on November 28th, the National Assembly will hold a closed-door meeting on personnel matters.
From 8:30 to 11:00 on November 28th, the National Assembly will discuss the draft amended Corporate Income Tax Law in the plenary session.
From 11:00 AM on November 28th, the National Assembly will continue its closed-door meeting on personnel matters.
On the afternoon of November 28, the National Assembly voted to approve the Resolution on piloting the handling of evidence and assets during the investigation, prosecution, and trial of certain criminal cases. They also voted to approve the amended Law on Prevention and Combat of Human Trafficking.
On the morning of November 29th, the National Assembly voted to pass the Laws on Geology and Minerals; the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army; and the Law on Fire Prevention, Firefighting and Rescue. In the afternoon of the same day, the National Assembly voted to pass the Laws amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Securities, the Law on Accounting, the Law on Independent Auditing, the Law on State Budget, the Law on Management and Use of Public Assets, the Law on Tax Management, and the Law on National Reserves.
On the final working day (November 30th) of the session, the National Assembly voted to approve the Resolution: Establishing Hue City as a centrally-administered city; organizing urban governance in Hai Phong City; and discussing in the plenary session the draft Law on Digital Technology Industry.
Later that same day, the National Assembly voted to approve resolutions on the investment policy for the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis.
