Fisherman Nguyen Huy Dung from Xuan Hoi commune (Nghi Xuan district) said: "Our fishing boat has a capacity of over 200 horsepower, employs 9 workers, and specializes in offshore fishing using purse seine nets. In the first few months of this year, the weather has been relatively favorable, and the fishing grounds are stable, so we regularly go out to sea. On average, each fishing trip lasts 2-3 days, bringing in about 1-1.3 tons of product, generating an income of 20-23 million VND. After deducting production costs, each crew member earns about 1.5 million VND per trip."

Mr. Le Anh Duc – Deputy Head of the Agriculture and Rural Development Department of Nghi Xuan district, informed: “Since the beginning of the year, despite facing many difficulties, fishermen in the 9 coastal communes of Nghi Xuan district have actively stayed at sea and focused on production. In the remaining months of the year, we will work with the local Party committee and government to continue strengthening guidance, urging, and encouraging fishermen to boost fishing activities to achieve and surpass the set plan.”
