Many households have complained about the slow resettlement process and the failure to relocate electricity and water infrastructure, affecting their daily lives. Project Management Board 4 stated that the main reason is the lack of clear identification of the compensation payment authority, leading to discontinuous land handover and the construction of drainage ditches in many sections.

The unit has requested the Da Nang City People's Committee to promptly assign the investor for the land clearance sub-project and expedite compensation and resettlement support. Phu My Investment Group is implementing the Phu My Port Project worth over 6,000 billion VND.
The People's Committee of Gia Lai province has approved the Phu My Investment Group Joint Stock Company to implement Phase 1 of the Phu My Port Project in Phu My Dong commune, covering an area of 205 hectares with a total investment of over 6,086 billion VND. The project includes the construction of two general cargo berths, one liquid cargo berth, seawalls, breakwaters, warehouses, and transportation infrastructure, capable of accommodating vessels of 100,000-150,000 tons, with a capacity of 3.8-4.4 million tons of cargo per year. The port will be directly connected to the Phu My Industrial Park, forming the nucleus of a port-industrial urban area, promoting maritime transport and logistics.

The project is scheduled to commence in September 2026 and be operational in October 2028. During their visit to South Korea, Phu My Investment Group and Eric C&C also signed a cooperation agreement to develop an automated port and smart logistics solutions for the project.
Ho Chi Minh City commences construction on a 7.3 trillion VND project to improve the environment on the northern bank of the Doi Canal.
On August 13th, Ho Chi Minh City commenced a project to dredge, build infrastructure, and improve the environment along the northern bank of the Doi Canal (formerly District 8) with a total investment of over 7,300 billion VND from the city's budget. The project includes 4.3 km of embankment along the northern bank, dredging the riverbed, expanding Hoai Thanh and Nguyen Duy roads, constructing Hiep An 2 bridge, and synchronizing the drainage, lighting, greening, and inland waterway terminal systems. Completion is expected in 2028.

The project affects 1,605 households; currently, 1,272 households have accepted compensation, 387 households have handed over land, and the city is preparing resettlement housing for 162 households. Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Bui Xuan Cuong, emphasized that the project will address pollution, prevent flooding, improve the quality of life and urban landscape, and requested the investor to accelerate progress and for localities to hand over land by September 2025.
Masterise's ambitions for the 195,000 billion VND Gia Binh airport "mega-project".
Masterise has proposed investing over VND 195 trillion to build Gia Binh International Airport in Hanoi, covering an area of 1,884 hectares and designed to handle 50 million passengers per year by 2050. The project aims to be a 5-star airport according to Skytrax standards, and a major transit hub in Asia, serving both civilian and national defense purposes.

Masterise plans to develop Gia Binh into a dual-use airport, serving as the air gateway for Northern Vietnam, while also establishing a center for logistics, aircraft maintenance operations (MRO), e-commerce, and non-aviation services.
The project is planned according to the Smart-Green Airport model combined with Airport City, applying AI and IoT technologies. With a 15% capital contribution and the remaining 85% raised, Masterise expects Gia Binh, together with Noi Bai, to create a strong impetus for development in the Red River Delta region and elevate Vietnam's position on the international aviation map.

Vietnam Railways Corporation has proposed 100% public investment to build a railway industrial complex on an area of 250 hectares in Chuyen My and Ung Hoa communes (Hanoi), with a total capital of 17,509 billion VND.

EVN has reported to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, requesting NSMO to proactively cut off power according to the registered schedule and amend regulations to increase flexibility. Quang Ngai: 1,295 billion VND needed for resettlement for high-speed railway project.
The North-South high-speed railway project, the section passing through Quang Ngai province, is over 86 km long, with a total capital of nearly 11,400 billion VND, including approximately 1,295 billion VND for resettlement costs with more than 3,200 resettlement plots. The project passes through 16 communes and 3 wards, requiring the acquisition of over 562 hectares of land, mainly agricultural land.

The province plans to build 22 new resettlement areas covering nearly 173 hectares and utilize more than 2,000 vacant plots in 33 existing resettlement areas to accommodate 1,590 households that need to be relocated. Provincial leaders requested that relevant departments and agencies closely coordinate in determining the route, adjusting station locations accordingly, calculating materials, reviewing compensation policies, and proposing special mechanisms to ensure public consensus and the timely completion of this national key project.

Accordingly, the airport project and related works will be implemented under the PPP method and BT contract, with special mechanisms regarding planning, land, environment, and investor selection.
The Ministry of Public Security is the managing agency, responsible for project preparation, contract signing, and capital allocation. The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province manages resettlement projects, land clearance, connecting roads, and land-based payments. The resolution allows for planning adjustments through a simplified procedure, eliminating the need for strategic environmental assessments and ensuring the progress of this national strategic project.

The Prime Minister has requested Dong Nai province to urgently complete compensation and land clearance to organize the groundbreaking ceremony for the Tri An Hydropower Plant Expansion Project on August 19, 2025, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day.
The project, classified as a nationally important project, comprises two generating units with a total capacity of 200 MW, expected to begin generating electricity by the end of 2027. The project will enhance the power supply for the South, especially during peak hours, helping to reduce production costs, utilize river flow, reduce excess discharge and CO2 emissions, and extend the lifespan of existing plant equipment, contributing to national energy security.

The Ministry of Construction assessed the proposal from the Hateco - Hateco Port - APM Terminals BV consortium regarding the Lien Chieu Container Port master plan as consistent with Da Nang's port, land, and infrastructure planning, and deemed it necessary to implement it soon as it is prioritized for investment until 2030. The project covers an area of 172.6 hectares, comprising 8 container berths with a total length of 2,750 meters, capable of receiving vessels up to 18,000 TEU, with a total designed capacity of 5.7 million TEUs/year.

The total projected investment is VND 45,268 billion, of which the charter capital is over VND 9,053 billion, phased over 3 stages starting from the end of 2025. In the first seven months of 2025, public investment reached over VND 7,818 billion (46.3% of the plan), while domestic investment reached VND 62,478 billion, an increase of 126.2%, and FDI reached USD 307.3 million, an increase of 4.6%. Contractors involved in the 14,945 billion VND expansion of the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh expressway have been revealed.
The Vietnam Expressway Development Investment Corporation (VEC) has selected contractors for the two main construction packages of the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh Expressway Expansion Project. Package XL01, worth over VND 5,573 billion, will be undertaken by a consortium of Deo Ca and other enterprises, while Package XL02, worth over VND 4,628 billion, will be undertaken by a consortium of Truong Son, Vinaconex, Thang Long, and Construction.

In addition, a 40.7 billion VND consulting and supervision package has also been awarded. The project, with a total capital of nearly 14,945 billion VND, commenced on August 19, 2025, expanding the existing Long Thanh bridge from 4 to 8-10 lanes and constructing a new bridge section. The project is expected to be substantially completed by December 2026 and fully completed by March 2027, enhancing connectivity between Ho Chi Minh City and Long Thanh Airport, reducing traffic congestion, and promoting the development of the Southern key economic region.
The new Phong Chau bridge will be completed on August 28, 2025.
The Prime Minister requested that the relevant units make every effort to complete the new Phong Chau bridge by August 28th and finish it by early October 2025, ensuring quality and safety, and facilitating travel for the people. At the same time, he authorized the use of savings from the bridge project to expand the connecting road.
Regarding the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway line passing through Phu Tho, the Prime Minister directed the urgent development of compensation and resettlement plans, as well as the planning of stations integrated with logistics and urban areas. The Government also agreed in principle to the construction of a 54 km road connecting the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway with Hoa Binh - Son La, opening up new development opportunities for Phu Tho province and the region.
Over $7 billion in investment capital has just poured into Bac Ninh.
On the afternoon of August 15th, Bac Ninh province awarded investment certificates to 45 projects with a total capital and expansion commitment of over 7.2 billion USD, focusing on high technology, urban development, services, and green infrastructure. In the first seven months of the year, the province attracted 155 domestic projects worth nearly 10 billion USD and 256 FDI projects worth nearly 4 billion USD, ranking second nationwide.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Vuong Quoc Tuan, affirmed that the province will improve the investment environment, promote digital transformation, green development, and sustainable development, while calling on businesses to commit to long-term investment.
