Besides studying hard at Duy Tan University with the major of Graphic Design, Ro Lan Le Trong (stage name Lee Trong) - a student who is a true "drawer" also has a very different passion: composing music.
Most recently, Lee Trong has collaborated with accompanying units and artists from Da Nang to launch the non-profit MV (Music Video ) Vietnam join hands to express gratitude to the groups and individuals who have contributed a lot in overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3 ( Yagi ) in the northern provinces recently.
MV Vietnam join hands
Boldly "joining hands" with Da Nang artists to launch a music project about storm Yagi
Ro Lan Le Trong, a Gia Rai ethnic, was born and raised in the sunny and windy highlands of Chu Prong (Gia Lai). Although he is a "newbie" in the art scene in Da Nang, Le Trong has left some impressions, affirming his talent for writing music and his confident performance ability.
Rơ Lan Lê Trọng's passion for music was "inspired" since his high school years. He always studied and wrote his first melodies on his own. When he was admitted to Duy Tan University and transferred to study in Da Nang city, Le Trong began to have many connections with teachers and friends to participate in activities with young artists here. After a period of composing and nurturing new musical works, Le Trong coordinated with units accompanying the Da Nang artist collective to launch the non-profit MV Vietnam join hands .

"I heard that the fierce storm Yagi has left behind many losses and huge damages to people and property in the northern provinces. Feeling overwhelmed with grief and deep sympathy for the people and soldiers struggling to cope with the storm, I quickly wrote the song Vietnam Join Hands in just 1 hour, " said young musician Le Trong.
Vietnam join hands is a composition by Le Trong and Ton That Vu, arranged by Phan Nhat Linh with vocal contributions from 15 artists currently active in Da Nang.
" I believe that the MV Vietnam Join Hands , contains many thoughts and feelings of Da Nang artists along with a call for solidarity, affirming the strength, resilience and kindness of the Vietnamese people. Through this song, I want to send my deep gratitude to the soldiers who bravely went into battle to help the people, and at the same time sincerely thank the material and spiritual contributions of the Vietnamese people in overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3 ," Le Trong affirmed.
Always admitting that he is an "amateur" in the arts, Le Trong is extremely modest and diligent in learning from his "seniors" to improve his knowledge and understanding in this field. With his personal emotions and experiences in life, the talented student always puts all his heart and care into each musical product to gain more experience and lessons for the journey ahead.
Although he has only recently officially entered the music industry, Le Trong has diligently released many songs such as: Gia nhu anh duoc nghe em noi , Thang 10 co em ,... on platforms such as YouTube, Spotify, Zing Mp3, Apple Music,... and has received attention and support from a large number of music listeners.
Le Trong said: " For me, music is not only love but also a 'vitamin' for the soul. When immersing myself in the melodies, I feel like I am being 'healed', the difficulties in life seem easier to overcome. I always want to share more of my thoughts through music and spread positive emotions to everyone ."
Cherishing the dream of becoming a "multi-talented" designer for art projects
Majoring in Graphic Design at the School of Technology & Engineering (SET), Duy Tan University, Le Trong always strives to study and cherishes the dream of becoming a "multi-talented" designer for art projects, being able to simultaneously take on the tasks of composing songs, arranging music, and designing images for art and music-related projects.
Graphic Design and Music Composition are Lee Trong's burning passions and many optimism about life.
He said: " Many people think I'm a bit greedy when I 'take on' many things at the same time or take on many roles, but I think that youth is the best time for me to have enough courage to dare to do what I dream of. I will start with what I have, learn a lot from teachers and seniors, persistently pursue my dream, then... everything will be fine " (laughs).
Le Trong's passion and dream are indeed quite "contemporary" because the Graphic Design industry that he and many young people are studying at Duy Tan University is increasingly necessary and popular in many areas of modern life.
Moments of tranquility with Lee Trong's music
Feeling lucky to have chosen the right major and at his favorite school, Le Trong excitedly shared: " At Duy Tan University, we are not only comprehensively trained in specialized knowledge and professional skills, but also given the best conditions to develop artistic talents through competitions and events. Thanks to the dedicated guidance of Duy Tan University's teachers, my logo designs and personal brand identity were honored to attend the 'Towards the Future 2024' Exhibition organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Design Association (VDAS) along with many other activities to initially help me shape my personal style as well as confidently enter the world of a professional 'designer'".
