Nearly 1,000 athletes participated in the tournament
The 2025 National Shuffle Dance, Dance and Folk Dance Sports Club Tournament is organized by the Vietnam Sports Department in collaboration with the Phan Trong Binh People's Armed Forces Hero Social Work Fund and Diamond Academy Company Limited. This year's tournament is large-scale with the participation of nearly 1,000 athletes from 28 units nationwide, taking place over 2 days (December 6 and 7).
At the end of the tournament, the organizing committee awarded the first prize to Long Khanh - Dong Nai ; second prize to Ho Chi Minh City; third prize to Lam Dong and Tuc Trung.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Chien - Deputy Head of the Department of Sports for All (Vietnam Sports Department) emphasized: "Folk dance and sports in recent years have been developing strongly in all provinces and cities across the country with many diverse and rich forms. Folk dances are created and compiled based on traditional domestic and international choreography and dances, at the same time combining and blending techniques from gymnastics, dancing, martial arts and some other sports. Thereby, not only meeting the needs of physical training but also contributing to improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people.
The 2025 National Shuffle Dance, Dance and Folk Dance Sports Club Championship also has a profound meaning in educating the spirit of solidarity, arousing pride and honoring the traditional cultural values of Vietnamese ethnic groups. At the same time, the tournament is also an opportunity to deploy and guide localities to develop the folk dance and sports movement, ensuring professional requirements, in accordance with the strategy for physical training and sports development; the strategy for developing Vietnamese culture to 2030, with a vision to 2045 and concretizing Resolution No. 72 of the Politburo on a number of breakthrough solutions, strengthening the protection, care and improvement of people's health".

At this tournament, athletes compete in 6 groups of competition contents including: synchronized gymnastics - combining choreography with techniques of hand gymnastics, aerobics, art, instruments, cheering... group dance/community dance - simple, uniform, performance-oriented (show dance, line dance...). Modern sports folk dance - shuffle dance, zumba, showcase, street dance, art choreography, modern dance groups. Traditional sports folk dance - compiled from traditional Vietnamese choreography, encouraging ethnic minority choreography such as gong dance, bamboo dance, fan dance... Health-preserving folk dance - increases endurance, good for middle-aged and elderly people. Martial music - 70% of the structure of the lesson is the techniques of traditional Vietnamese martial arts and some other martial arts.
