Việt NamViệt Nam15/08/2024

On the morning of August 15, the Department of Tourism held the opening ceremony of a training course for tour guides. The training course was attended by leaders of the Department of Tourism, the Tourism Association and nearly 50 domestic and international tour guides.

In recent years, with the synchronous implementation of many solutions and the efforts, solidarity and creativity of the business community and people, tourism activities in the province have developed strongly. According to the Department of Tourism, in the first 7 months of 2024, the whole province is estimated to welcome 6.52 million visitors, an increase of 33.8% over the same period last year. Revenue is estimated at over 6,269 billion VND, an increase of 47.58% over the same period.

The number of tourists coming to Ninh Binh is increasing, so the demand for human resources in the tourism industry is also increasing. In particular, tour guides play a very important role in introducing, promoting, and developing the values of tourist destinations, tourism products, strengths, and characteristics of the locality.

To meet the demand for human resources in the new situation, Ninh Binh Tourism Department has regularly organized training courses to improve the qualifications, expertise and professionalism of the team directly working in tourism, including tour guides. From 2010 to now, the Department of Tourism has issued, changed and reissued 722 tour guide cards, including 300 domestic cards, 177 international cards and 245 on-site cards.

At the training course, the trainees were provided with knowledge by lecturers from Hanoi College of Tourism related to the development of tourism in the world and Vietnam; policies on tourism management and development; tourism product development; measures to ensure security and safety for tourists...

This is an opportunity for tour guides to learn and exchange experiences to improve the quality of tourism human resources, meeting the increasing demands of tourists. At the same time, this is also an important requirement for tour guides to exchange cards according to regulations.

The training course took place over 3 days from August 15-17 at MT Hotel (Ninh Binh city).
