Mid-term review of the implementation of the Resolution of the 16th Provincial Women's Congress

On the morning of July 16th, the Nghe An Provincial Women's Union held a mid-term review conference on the implementation of the Resolution of the 16th Provincial Women's Congress, term 2021-2026, and the Resolution of the 13th National Women's Congress, term 2022-2027. Attending the conference were: Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien – Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union; and Mr. Ngoc Kim Nam - Member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department.

Overview of the conference.

Halfway through the implementation of the Resolution of the Nghe An Provincial Women's Congress for the 2021-2026 term and the Resolution of the 13th National Women's Congress, the targets have been basically achieved on schedule, with many criteria and targets meeting or exceeding the set plan. 9 out of 10 target clusters have met or exceeded the targets, contributing to the implementation of local political tasks and effectively fulfilling the function of representing and caring for the legitimate rights and interests of women.

The Women's Union of Nghe An province has also focused on directing the implementation of three key tasks and three breakthroughs effectively, including: supporting women's economic development, starting businesses, and achieving success; building strong grassroots organizations; and innovating the Union's operational methods and promoting the application of information technology.

Comrade Ngoc Kim Nam - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department - delivered a speech guiding the conference.

Highly appreciating the results achieved after half of the 16th Congress term, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, Ngoc Kim Nam, and the Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, suggested that the Nghe An Provincial Women's Union should have solutions to maintain the targets already achieved and exceeded according to the roadmap; and continue to innovate and be more creative in the second half of the term to complete the set targets and tasks with quality.

The focus is on implementing the emulation movement "Building the modern-day woman of Nghe An: Possessing knowledge, morality, health, and aspirations for advancement; being responsible to herself, her family, and the nation."

Awards and certificates of merit were presented to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements.

Furthermore, proactively coordinate and advise on the implementation of gender equality goals and targets at the local level. Improve the quality of activities, promote digital transformation, and apply information technology in the Association's operations. Continue to focus on effectively implementing national target programs and government projects to bring practical benefits to members and women.
