Strengthening digital transformation to promote tourism development in Da Nang

(Fatherland) - On December 13, the Department of Tourism of Da Nang city organized a seminar on digital transformation for tourism service establishments: travel, transportation, and tourist attractions in Da Nang city in 2024 with the theme "Discover TikTok - Solutions to promote the tourism industry".


The seminar was attended by nearly 100 local units; at the same time, the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City also organized a community service sharing program for nearly 100 people and workers participating in serving the night-time economy in Son Tra and Hai Chau districts on promoting products and services on the TikTok platform.

The seminar aims to enhance digital transformation to promote the city's tourism development, while supporting tourism businesses in their business operations, ensuring that by 2030 Da Nang city will have at least 90% of tourism businesses using digital data and applying digital technology in tourism service business activities.

Applying technology is an inevitable trend in the tourism industry to enhance customer experience, create differentiation in products and services to bring competition, optimize performance, and increase business efficiency for tourism businesses.

At the seminar, representatives of TikTok Vietnam shared about tourists' search needs on TikTok channel, effective approaches to TikTok from tourism businesses, cooperation channels with KOC/KOLs to promote marketing, sell effective tourism programs and improve competitiveness.

Thereby, travel agencies, tourist attractions and transportation can approach and promote business, bringing their products to customers, thereby increasing product value, increasing revenue and contributing to promoting the city's tourism image.

For businesses and workers participating in the night-time economic service, this platform will introduce and promote to reach more customers to promote business products as well as boost the city's night-time economic activities.

Currently, along with Facebook, Instargram... TikTok is a platform used by more than 60% of the Vietnamese population, where users explore and find inspiration: 80% of users say TikTok inspires them to travel; 77% have researched a tourist destination after seeing it on TikTok...

According to the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City, to realize the great benefits that digital transformation brings through social networking platforms, continue to develop and promote tourism products on the TikTok platform. After this program, the Department of Tourism will continue to cooperate with representatives of TikTok Vietnam and tourism service businesses in the city to exchange and grasp trends and have quarterly exchange programs to connect and introduce to customers in the best way, improve business efficiency, contribute to the strong and sustainable development of Da Nang city's tourism industry.
